Henry Adderley, 26 year old Scientists

"And now we come to this year's first price. But first, let me introduce the candidates ..."

You didn't really care for the other projects. You already read a short description of them. They weren't that impressive and you were pretty sure you would win the first prize. However, the prize itself would probably be a disappointment. These were not the biggest awards. They always have a sponsored first prize, either by a company who want to show off new product or by some sort of foundation. The best prize they ever had was a small House, but usually it's a lot worse, like a cocking course. You focus back on the announcer, who hast finally finished explaining all the participants.

"And this year's 'Science for Scientists Award' goes to ... Henry Adderley."

The small crowd gives you some polite applause, and you walk up to the announcer, who enthusiastically shakes your hand. Then he turns back to the audience.

"Since we have a pretty unique prize this year, Henry will be able to choose one of two prizes. The first option is a car, it is a new hybrid model which will only be available for everybody in a month. The other option is from a foundation for monster girls, who will sponsor your very own monster girl. Don't worry, you don't have to decide right now."

After saying a few words, some photos and everything else that belongs to this type of event you are lead to a small office to discuss your prize.

To you, both of these options seem like a joke. A car might be expansive, and before you moved here, you would have accepted gladly. But you're in a big city. The traffic is terrible, and the parking situation is even worse. You are pretty sure, in this city public transport is always faster than a car, and you get a free ticket from your job. No, you are 100% certain you don't want the car. On the other hand you have no idea what to expect from a monster girl. Sure, you heard about it, but you haven't seen any of them by yourself and it still seems surreal to you. Just then a lady comes in. She looks like a typical office worker.

"Alright, Mister Adderley, you don't have to decide in your prize today, but you should do so in the next week."

"Can you tell me more about the Thing with the monster girl?"

"Of course. The foundation pretty much pays everything, but the whole process will still go through the AWIO. You will have to go through the normal process of them, meaning there will be background checks, interviews to find the right girl for you and so on."
