Hell no, Fight it!

This thing is half my normal size, and its power is basically useless against me...though it is annoying. It looks at me far more cautious now that it knows I'm seeing through its tricks. I do a quick self check of my energy, and find I'm basically still at full reserve. Whenever it rewinds the fight, it's basically a full recovery for me...but not him. It might just be nerves, but his chest is rising and falling. His body is healed, but it seems it takes SOME power for him to set up and continue these loops. I re-focus, and take a fighting stance. To my surprise, it does the same. There's fear in its eyes, but it seems it's not willing to back down. Maybe it's stuck in the loop with me? Or maybe it's just overconfident.

I don't think any more on it. I rush forward as it does the same and we meet in the middle. It takes advantage of its time jumps to dodge my attacks. I'm faster and stronger, and my armor is too thick for it to pierce, but it still tries, cutting, stabbing, even working in some heavy kicks. They almost hurt, and I feel my hip bone crack slightly, before mending itself. Those thick legs aren't for show, but I'm just too far beyond it, which it is coming to realize, the closer my own swings get to meeting his flesh. He lets out a combination of a roar and a hiss as he taps into all of his strength and speed.

And it's not enough.

My tail shoots out of my body and between it and the blade on my arm, we-I- catch him in a pincer. He dodges my blade, but he doesn't have the mobility, or the foreknowledge of what I'm capable of. My spear pierces his midsection, and he screams. I know he's just going to reset time again, and I don't know if I can kill him before then, or if doing so is even possible. For all I know, killing him would reset the loop anyway...So I take this chance to take as many of his memories as possible. If there is a way to win, he should know it. I don't always need to be the one who solves every problem. I should rely on others more...
