Heather and Victoria clash

"Heather, I just don't get why you think flirting with Brandon like that is okay. What were you thinking?"

Heather was really starting to feel bad for how she'd acted, but she didn't like being attacked either.

"Because Brandon's safe. It's all in fun. He'd never cheat on Ashley, he loves her."

"But did you ever consider how Ashley would feel?" the blonde retorted, "It's one thing when you guys run into each other in the halls, but here you are just throwing it in her face."

"If Ashley is so worried about Brandon, maybe her problems are bigger than me flirting with him a little."

"You say you are flirting with Brandon because he's safe, why don't you flirt with Zack? Doesn't his thing with Chloe make him safe?"

Suddenly Zack, who wasn't too thrilled to be the only observant to this fight in the first place, was even less thrilled about being dragged into the middle of it.

"WHAT?!?" Zack blurted out. "There's no THING between me and Chloe."

Both girls turned to him with shocked looks on their faces. Heather was the first to speak up.

"Are you kidding me? All that time together and you two still haven't hooked up?"

Zack was suddenly even more uncomfortable than he had been seeing the fight about to brew between his two friends.

"We're friends... that's it."

"Damn, that beautiful girl right in front of you all this time. I'm not sure if I admire your strength or feel bad for your blindness," Heather replied.

Zack was really getting irritated at how this argument had been turned around against him, but he knew he should choose his words wisely. He had no intention of pissing off either of the gorgeous girls in front of him.

"Look, Heather, I get it. I know you meant no harm. You were just being you, and nothing wrong with that. But for whatever reason it has gotten to Ashley. I know, I talked to her earlier. So please, for the sake of us all, think about her feelings."

Heather knew Zack was right. While Vicky pointing it out made her defensive, there was something about Zack that brought her back to reality. She swam over to him and gave him a hug.

"Thanks, Zack, you're right" Heather then swam to the shore, grabbed her stuff and headed back to the cabin.

Zack had spent so much time infatuated with Victoria, and figuring Heather was out of his league that he really hadn't thought about her. But her hug had an effect on him. That body, those breasts, all smashed against him. "How had Brandon resisted her at all," he couldn't help but think.

As he came back to reality he realized he was alone with Victoria. She smiled at him then swam to the shore. He followed behind. On the shore together they looked into each other's eyes.

As Zack's blue eyes pierced her she couldn't help but replay the day's events. She had thought him and Chloe were a couple, or at least fuck buddies, but now she suddenly realized that at so many points during the day, Zack had been hovering over her. Of course Kurt had been doing the same. But, unlike Kurt, Zack hadn't been overt or rude to her. She wasn't sure, but it seemed like Zack had a crush on her. Here he was, a nice guy, unlike most of her boyfriends, and he might like her. Her body tingled at the thought. She went up on her toes and kissed Zack on the cheek.

"Thanks for sticking up for Ashley," she smiled. Then she ran up the trail. Her reason for running off wasn't innocent at all. She knew she had a great ass and she wanted Zack to have that view all the way back to the cabin.
