What's next?
Heather Shows Up
As Billy held the door open for his cousin, he couldn't help but admire her looks. He had always thought Miranda had this cute, wholesome, nerdy beauty about her. She had mostly dressed conservatively, but had given glimpses of her wilder side to the family every once in a while. Today she was dressed in a plain yellow V-neck button-down cardigan, with a white t-shirt underneath. She had on a black knee-length skirt with black sheer tights underneath. She also wore black flats with a short heel at the back, and had cute black glasses covering her. All in all she had that Christian minister's daughter kind of look. She wasn't showing a lot of cleavage in crop-tops or strutting out in short shorts, but she still turned eyes towards her. It was almost impressive.
What was more impressive was her hair. She had fairly long hair, that looked like a mix of light golden and auburn. It was done straight in a half up half down braid tied behind her head. It looked professionally done, even though she had probably done it herself. Billy wondered at what time she had to have waken up to do this before coming here. But she was used to it. Every time he had slept over at his aunt's house Miranda was always fast asleep way before anyone else. It took a lot of discipline, but if he expected anyone to do it, it would be her.
She awkwardly took a seat on the couch, noticing that it was not in it's usual place. Or was it? She hadn't been here in a while and was trying to remember how it looked before. It didn't seem even, like someone had pushed it from one side only. _Oh come on Miranda, stop thinking about that useless stuff. So what if it moved? _She caught herself and readjusted her focus back to her cousin, who was still stuck in thought, holding the door open, while looking directly at her.
She would've thought it was creepy, but he didn't really have a look of lust. It looked more like he was admiring her. That made her a little bit flustered, she was not used to such attention. In actuality, it happened way more than she thought, but she had never paid much attention to it. In her mind, this had never happened before. Despite loving the eyes being on her, Miranda thought that it was wrong coming from her own cousin. With a herculean effort she **** herself to speak up.
"Uhh Billy, you uhm ok over there?" He immediately snapped out of it, shut the door, and walked over to where his cousin was. "Can I get you anything?"
"uhm just water, I guess, if that's not too much to ask. If it is that's fine you don-" Billy giggled at her awkwardness. "No no that's actually way too little. If you had asked for coffee, that would've been too much." Now it was her turn to giggle, an blush slightly. "Ok, water please," she said, failing to hide her smile.
As he walked to the kitchen, his mom showed up, with a slight hangover from last night. She didn't even notice her niece sitting down and walked right past her.
"Oh hi auntie Heather!" Miranda chirped out with excitement.
"Jesus." Heather turned around immediately to look at her. "Oh hi Miranda." She laughed lightheartedly. "You scared me there. I didn't expect someone to be over so early."
"Oh, if you don't want someone over so early, I can just leave." Heather laughed out loud at the suggestion, not knowing that her niece was being earnest. "That's a good one Mira, come here and give your aunt a hug." _That went better than expected, _she thought as she got up and hugged Heather.
They both sat down at the couch and started some small talk, with Heather being direct with her questions, and Miranda being characteristically reserved and shy. By this point Billy had taken almost three minutes with her water, which she found odd. But eventually he came back in enough time that she didn't feel it necessary to call it out.
"Here you go. Oh, uh, hi mom." He wondered whether his mom had found out from his aunt about their boxing match. Surely she couldn't have already told her?
Luckily for Billy it seemed Heather was oblivious to anything that had happened after she passed out yesterday night. "Hey there, how was your night?" She said without any teasing attached, like she was genuinely aasking.
"Good," he said.
Then Heather turned to her niece. "Mira, your mom told me yesterday that you were having some confidence issues, right."
The teen looked down at the ground as she answered. "Oh, uhm, yeah, a little bit, I guess."
"So I talked with her about it, and we thought we had the perfect solution. Have you ever boxed, honey?"
Billy's heart sank. He knew from his mother's tone and demeanor that she wasn't trying to intimidate him. She probably was doing this for Miranda's confidence, but he knew deep down that with those loaded gloves, anything was possible, even being knocked out by his nerdy, unathletic, 5'3 115 pound 18 year-old younger cousin.
"Um no, I- no I never got into uhh sports, so no I've never boxed."
"Well how about this, Billy here could teach you! He's a great boxer and an even better teacher. He's been giving me a couple lessons."
He was glad his mom hadn't mentioned the knockouts, but was afraid that he would soon have another one to add to his collection.
"I don't know. I know nothing about boxing, and Billy's good, what if I get hurt?" Miranda asked with a hint of genuine concern.
"Oh nonsense honey, he won't go all out, just a bit of practice and some very light sparring at the end. Right Billy?"
"I don't know, boxing isn't really how you build up confidence, maybe a night out or something?"
"Oh? When did you become the king of the club?" Heather said with a light giggle. "This is something you're good at, and it won't take long. Come on do it for Miranda, if not for me."
Billy looked at his cousin. She was looking down at the floor, too awkward to make eye contact at this point. She was blushing slightly, and he couldn't help but think _she looks so pretty. _His rational brain disconnected as he let his emotions (and to some extent his dick) make him agree to his mom's idea.
"Ok," he said. "For Miranda."
She looked up in surprise at her cousin. The fact that he said he was doing this for her made her heart skip a beat. "Oh, uh, thanks Billy." She wanted to look away again, but before she did, she said, "thanks a lot, I uhm really appreciate it." Just the smile she gave him at that moment had convinced him that he had made the right decision.
