Healing

You spent next days on getting back to your feet, healing both your body and mind, trying to push out some of the pain you've suffered. You filled your days with quite a lot of things, always trying to be busy. Busy with long walks with Kelara in the light of the moon, where you both agreed to take things slow and let your relationship bloom naturally. What you did back in that cave was out of necessity and while she would want to repeat it, you both said you would like to know each other better. Busy with happily chattering Layla, who - to you surprise - didn't demand to breed for all this time, possibly being schooled by other girls to drop the subject until you get better. You were glad that she didn't feel guilty about what has happened. Same thing couldn't be said with your fairy companion who kept being quiet, answering only with one, or two words and never initiating a conversation with you on her own. You could sense she was troubled with something and when you tried to initiate a conversation, she was dodging the subject. Finally Kelara said to give Doris some time. Ishtar was a great help to speed up your recovery. She shielded your arm with additional protective layer and even allowed with her planar abilities for some of the healing magic to work on you. It still didn't have the complete desired effect, your talent still blocking most of it, but it helped nonetheless.

You got surprised you weren't interrogated by fortress commander about what happened, but later learned he had to leave a day prior to you waking up to deal with some troubles in the north. You were hoping it wasn't anything serious.

In one of those days you had a surprising visitor. He was dressed in a black suit and carried a suitcase, introducing himself as Bryan McCarthy, a representative of AWIO. He explained that Ghea sent word to Gregor as soon as she could about you. You told him your story, only skipping some parts like dealing with the deviless or using your cum as a tool to break the mind control.

"That man, Ronald Turner, we found him our data base. He applied to be a traveler as one of the first, but he was rejected. We found multiple issues and red flags about him." Bryan stated. "I have in here the data of all the travelers that went through the portal, everyone is accounted for and this man never got officially through to the other side."

"Then how did he came through? Cause I'm pretty sure I didn't hallucinate him "

"We... Don't know. We have a suspicion that there might be some unknown to us portals leading to our world, but we hope it's not true. If it was, it would be potentially catastrophic for both sides."

You stopped talking about it as you shifted the subject to ask about Earth. You were chatting about sports teams, elections, and celebrities. He even told you about a threat of deadly disease that was coming from Asia, but a quick vaccine and treatment plan for the sick ones was created thanks to the team made out of human doctors and ingenious monster girls. He didn't visit you anymore after he left, possibly to investigate some leads he had on the case of more portals. But he did leave a note that stated he spoke with the girls and gave them few parting gifts.

Three weeks have passed before Ghea gave your arm the final check and allowed to remove all the bandages and ointments saying it will heal now on its own as long as you don't overexert or injure it. You didn't plan for either of those things and promised you will not make such a stunt ever again.

You were standing at the gates with your three companions, all of you fully equipped and ready, courtesy of Brian from AWIO. Kelara even got a saddle you could ride on. You all were looking at the way out, none of you taking the first step yet, the girls clearly waiting for your lead.

You felt like you need to say something first.

"We are five miles away from the demon territory. We don't know what awaits us there and we have to assume that it's not going to be better than what we already got through. You can all go home, leave whenever you want. This thing I have to do, it is my mission. I don't want to endanger of you any further, I care greatly about each of you. So I need to ask, are you sure you want to keep following me?"

You asked.

"Yes!" Kelara and Layla responded immediately. Doris just gave a quick nod in your direction.

You damn right I am!

You smiled at them. This simple confirmation made you more happy than you've ever been. To know that you have friends ready to be there for you when you need them is one of the greatest feelings.

"Let's move out, then. To the demon lands."

You took the first step with knowledge that all what happened was just a beginning. But you weren't afraid. You had three beautiful, deadly, fantastic monster girls as your companions. And a deviless inside your bracelet, of course.
