Heads

Batgirl looks up as the coin flips through the air. Her fate is in the balance, as one flip of a coin was going to determine her fate. One way or another, her life was going to be much more difficult.

Finally, it landed in Two-Face's palm. He dramatically slammed it onto the back of his other hand, looking down to see the result of his toss.

"Heads," he announces, looking down at the bound heroine.

Batgirl looks down in fear, knowing that she's in serious trouble. Two-Face and his men plan to unmask her, and unless a miracle takes place, she's helpless to stop them.

"Unmask Batgirl! Unmask Batgirl!" chant the men, excited at the prospect of finally unmasking their foe.

She had been giving them problems for a long time now, always foiling their plans. They never thought they'd get a chance to see who she really was behind her mask.

Two-Face was also interested. Perhaps finding out who Batgirl really was would be the knowledge that allowed him to deduce Batman's true identity.

"Well, men, who wants to do the honors?"

The henchmen go wild, all wanting the ability to say they were the one who unmasked the famous heroine. With a chuckle, Two-Face announced their next step.

"Looks like you all want in. In that case, the only fair thing to do is unmask her myself!"

Batgirl pulled at the bonds, hoping to loosen them and escape before her identity was exposed and her career as Batgirl ruined. She watched in horror as Two-Face approached her.

"Harvey, don't!" she yelled.

"Sorry Batgirl, the coin already decided your fate. Someone hold her still," replied Two-Face, noticing her rapid movements.

Two excited men ran from behind her, grabbing her shoulders to hold her. There was no escaping this.

Two-Face reached down, grabbing the top of her head. Everyone trained their eyes on her, ready to see the face behind the mask of Batgirl.

"No!" she screamed.

Two-Face yanked upwards, pulling her mask clear off her face.

She looked around, seeing everyone in the room staring at her now unmasked face. Her identity was no longer secret.

"Barbara Gordon?" muttered Two-Face, surprised by the revelation.

The men began to laugh, pointing at the unmasked Batgirl. They knew who she really was now, and she'd never be able to hide from them.

"No..." whispered Barbara, she knew how devastating this was.

"Quiet, boys! We still have a few decisions to make! What to do with Ms. Gordon?"

The men began to shout out ideas, none of which gave Barbara any hope. She fearfully looked up at Two-Face as he made his decision.

"Alright. We can either expose Batgirl's true identity to the world now, or we can take her to Arkham and give her a trial!"
