Chapter 3 by StabilizerEmerald StabilizerEmerald

What does he suggest?

He takes her to the station

Looking around as she was brought into the small town station, Eliza felt like a lamb going to slaughter. Five or six officers watched her be marched past their desks through a door on the other end of the room. She was led to the first cell. Jack unceremoniously shoved her in. She stumbled but caught her balance as the door clinked closed behind her.

“Solicitation? Really?” Mike Lambeth, another officer, leaned back in his chair and regarded Jack skeptically.

“Look, the girl threw herself at me. And I thought she’d be fun as soon as I saw her.” Jack was writing each of the officers’ names on a slip of paper and dropping them in one of their dress uniform hats. He had another nearby that he’d also been steadily filling up.

“Alright Jack, what do ya got in mind?” Jim Marsh walked up to the bullpen holding a fresh cup of coffee.

“I think we could all use some stress relief, so I say we draw for it.”

“Is that what you’ve been writing?” Dave Harris’ baritone carried across the room. The surrounding county was fairly homogenous and Dave was the only black cop on the ****.

“Yep. I’ll draw a name and and you get your break to enjoy our newest prisoner.”

“Fun.” Sean Drury was a known freak among the rest of the ****. They’d all learned a few things from him but he seemed a little too eager.

“Ok we’ve got, Mike, Dave, Sean, Ben, Jim, and last but not least, me.” Jack counted out the slips of paper with their names on them. Ben, a silent, lanky man, pulled his rolling chair closer to Jack to be able to watch the action more closely.

Jack grabbed one piece of paper and announced who would go first to the room.

Who goes first?
