Maybe it was a sudden rush of feelings, maybe it was Sam wanting to take a risk, but as he looked at this beautiful woman frozen and smiling ear to ear at him, he knew he wanted to try and be with Channing, and they can have a lot of fun together with the remote. He unpaused time in the same position he was at, and Channing was completely unaware of the time freeze. As they moved hit rewind they watched as Kierra and Lydia came back in and left, they watched the moon go down and the sun come back up into a pretty sunset. During this time they talked and realized they had a deeper connection than just this remote. Sam was thrilled with his choice, because if he chose to rewind he would have never been able to get this chance to have this connection with someone he crushed over since his breakup with Brittany.
Channing and Sam realized that they actually like eachother, and while time was rewinding around them, they were moving forward in their relationship as they had sex for the first time that didn't involve the other being frozen, rewound, or looped.
During their post-sex cuddle they decided that they needed to come up with some rules for remote since they'll be a badass couple using it together. After much discussion they decided that they had to follow a set of rules if their relationship and remote were to mesh together.

Do not sleep with someone influenced by the remote unless you have consent from the other, or it is a three way.

Leave the remote in a secure safe when it is not being used to prevent others from finding it, or it going off on one of us.

We will unloop the cop that we've left there saying "What the Hell?!?!" all day. We will think about what to do with Cheryl for now, but we can't leave her frozen long term.
With all these rules set, there were about to have the time of their lives.
