Having Tea with a Friend

As stereotypical as it may be Lauren and her Friend one Dame Alice, We’ll less “Friend” and more temporary ally. You see almost no one liked Lauren and those who did did so out of necessity and out of the public eye and Alice was one of those. Both Lauren and Alice had a common enemy Dame Irene. Dame Irene was also a very wealthy and elite noble but more than that her brother Henry just so happened to be a government diplomat. That meant that Irene went on the most lavish diplomatic banquet and parties and didn’t have to spend a pound on them and due to the parties she was more famous than both Lauren and Alice.

So that is the reason of the tea get together it wasn’t a friendly chat at all but a planning session with tea and biscuits thrown in. The location was already decided on before hand, Irene was supposed to be a guest of honor at the opening of the Grand Royal Hotel in a couple of days but the how was the matter of debate for the two aristocrats to discuss. Alice favored paying one of Irene’s Maids to sabotage her dress so that it falls down during the ceremony while Lauren favored somehow forcing Irene to dress as a hotel servant and booking a say at the hotel so they could torment her further.
