Have a chance encounter with ex

Mary was in town getting art supplies when she saw her ex husband walking towards her with a young woman.

“Hi Frank, who’s your new friend?” Mary said cheerfully.

“Hi, this is Susan, a new intern at the office,” Frank replied.

“Hi Susan, glad to meet you!” Mary said, “Is Frank showing you the ropes?”

“Oh yes!” Susan said, hugging Frank. “Well I have to run luv, got a 10 o’clock computer class to go to”

“Oh do you go to the community college?” Mary asked.

“Yeah, I’m a sophomore there,” Susan said.

“You might know my son, Thomas?”

“I’ve got one in that class, I don’t know if it’s him though. Does he take business computing 202?”

“I don’t know, I do know he takes a computer class though, I’ll have to ask”, Mary replied.

“Well, I have to run, later!” Susan said, as she jogged off.

“Nice girl,” Mary commented to Frank, after Susan left.

“I suppose I’m going to get a lecture now,” Frank said.

“About what?” Mary asked.

“About dating coeds my son’s age,” Frank replied.

“Not from me, none of my business anymore,” Mary said. “Her parents or your work may have something to say about it, I don’t. You’re both consenting adults.”

“Yeah, you never were judgmental, it’s one thing I really like about you,” Frank said.

“Wasn’t enough to keep us together though,” Mary laughed.

“Hey, it wasn’t working out, we both agreed. So have you found a new love interest yet?” Frank asked.

“Nope, still looking. Well, I have things to do, see you later,” Mary said as she turned to leave.

‘Yeah, later,” Frank muttered, then glanced at his watch. It was time for him to get back to work too.
