Have a bath

You look down at your uniform. While you didn't exactly work up a sweat in the sparing match you did get dirty on the bottom of you legs. If Edin was there you could talk to him, if not you wouldn't be in the baths for long so you'd see him at your room soon enough.

Walking to the Dorms you stretch out your perception, expecting Asune to be hanging around the corner. That she wasn't gave you a faint hope she would actually stop suddenly appearing. You didn't want to put much faith in that hope however, better to not be disappointed by getting your hopes up.

Entering the Dorms you do wonder where Asune's room is. So far you hadn't seen her in the dorms except for the time she and Vatarie were in a verbal fight. Maybe she's in another building. You keep walking to the baths and open the middle class door. Entering the changing room you are unsurprised to find it empty. Edin must have finished up and gone back to your room already. It is still very early for people to be bathing. You strip and put your uniform in the cleaning cabinet. Your sword doesn't fit so you just lean it against the door. Grabbing the towel you walk into the baths proper.

With the bath being empty you get a much better look at it. The seating around the edge and the small inset for the water are much clearer. While wide enough to lay down on they aren't wide enough for more than one person to do so. You drop your towel and hop into the pool itself. Its mosaic is much lower quality up close. The colours either having faded or just never having been as bright. You do a few laps but the water feels less effective at cleaning you than the upper class pools did.

You hop out of the pool and feel around your ears. That you can feel oil there suggest the water here isn't magically cleaning you, or at least not doing so as well at the upper class one. You walked to a inset in the seating and scoop some over your head. Feeling your ear again the oil is gone. You use the inset to wash clean yourself then take a seat and relax.

You were stalling. You hadn't worked your muscles enough to need to relax and you already knew the insets would be what cleaned you. You take a deep breath and acknowledge the reason for the stalling. You were worried about Edin. You didn't know if you had done something or what that something had been, but he wasn't ok. Leaving like that, even though his uniform was outside, it wasn't like him. So far you'd only seen him be impulsive when it came to sex.

You stood up and grabbed your towel patting yourself dry and letting the magical barrier in the changing room doorway finish the job. Getting dressed you tried to think of how you should approach Edin. Should you ask what happened or pretend it didn't?

As you left the baths and made your way upstairs you settled on asking him but letting him lead. If he asks you to drop it or doesn't acknowledge it you would do the same. If or when he want's to talk is what matters, not forcing him to make yourself feel better.

As you open your door you say, "Hey Edin." You close it then look around at the empty room. "Edin?" You call stretching your perception out. He wasn't here.

That was a little worrying. The dinning hall was closed so he couldn't be there. You turn to leave and go find him before your stop yourself and think. Edin had left without saying anything, if he wanted you to follow him he would have said where he was going. You let go of the door handle and put your sword away. You'd see him at breakfast or at class.

You lay down on your bed and try to not think about Edin. That proves impossible and you just end up stressing about what happened. When it is time for breakfast you hurry down to the dinning hall grab food and sit looking at the door waiting for him to show up.
