Who is the person that Cordelia sees?

Harmony Kendall

Cordelia's first thought was that she was indeed in Hell because why else would her old friend Harmony Kendall be here?

Then she realized that the presence of a vampire like Harmony did not necessarily mean she was in Hell or even in the underworld though it did seem like a bit of a stretch to interpret Harmony's presence as a sign that Cordelia was actually in Heaven. In any event, Cordelia liked to think that they had once been good friends and with any luck, she could use that friendship to get herself out of her present predicament. Granted, she did feel a bit awkward about being naked in front of her best friend but then modesty was hardly her biggest concern right then.

"Harmony," said Cordelia, "am I glad to see you!"

"Really?" asked Harmony. "Because it seems like it's been ages since you tried to contact me."

"Well, I have been dead, you know," said Cordelia.

"Sure," said Harmony. "Leave it to you to find every little excuse not to do something."

"Er, can you please get me out of here?" asked Cordelia.

"Why should I?" asked Harmony.

"Because we used to be friends," said Cordelia.

"Oh, please," said Harmony. "Maybe we were friends back in Sunnydale but ever since you moved to LA, you've changed."

"Wait," said Cordelia. "You're the one who became a vampire and yet you say that I changed?"

"You did," said Harmony. "You never wrote. You never called. You were friendly enough that one time I stayed over but then you found out I was a vampire --"

"Hey, I was pretty understanding about the fact that you were a vampire," said Cordelia. "You're the one who betrayed me."

"In that case, I suppose we have nothing to talk about," said Harmony.

"Well, maybe, but can you let me out of here first so that we can find out?" asked Cordelia.

"Nice try, Cordy," said Harmony.

And with that, Harmony closed the little door, leaving Cordelia in darkness again.
