Happy Reunion

About an hour later John stood near the entrance to the Palace of History. Unlike the last time he had made the trip, he only had to take about half as many breaks and made better progress in terms of time efficiency. In terms of physical exhaustion, however, he was still currently drenched in enough sweat to seem like he had taken a dip in a pool with his clothes on. John checked his stats; the hour of pure pain had awarded him with one extra point to his Endurance and Agility each.

Okay, John, there’s no way you're going in there like this. Let's see what I can do to clean up my clothes first, John thought to himself as he opened his inventory and equipped items. He tapped on his jacket to highlight it. John then focused on it and began to cast Craft on it. Like the previous day with his shirt, the jacket began to glow yellow and John watched as the sweat stains disappeared and the jacket seemed to be brand new again.

It had cost John 25 MP in total to clean up his jacket, shirt, pants, underwear, socks and shoes. Interestingly enough, his shoes and socks both filled the same slot and were counted as a pair rather than as independent items. Now thoroughly cleaned up and at least semi presentable, John made his way into the store.

Inside he found the same old lady at the counter from yesterday. Today, however, something seemed to be bothering her as she was currently looking at a thick book with a frown on her face. John looked around but didn’t see Blair, so he decided that she either was in the store's barrier or had simply not arrived yet.

"Something wrong, Miss?" John asked the old lady to pass the time. She looked up from the book and gave John a genuine but tired smile.

"I'm fine, deary, business just hasn't been the best these days, is all," she told John as she closed the thick tome and stashed it under the counter.

"Sorry to hear that, do you think there's any reason why that is?" John asked her. He hadn't known her very long or very well, but a part of him always hated to see the elderly be sad.

"Besides most kids these days not knowing the smell of an old book, I guess it would have to be that the ones that do know are going to another store in the old shopping district. Written in the Stars is what it's called, but if you ask me, I would say some of the regulars that go there do it less for the books and more for the pretty girl that likes to sit behind the counter, I think her name was Robin or something like that," she explained to John with a bitter sigh. "Anyways, deary, young folk like yourself shouldn't get too wrapped up in the worries of the elderly. The girl you left with yesterday is waiting for you inside, so best not keep her waiting," the elderly woman told John as he received a popup to enter the store's barrier. He gave her a nod, accepted it and felt the now almost familiar shift of reality.

John looked around, but despite what he had been told, Blair was nowhere to be seen. That was when he suddenly felt someone tackle him from behind and knock him straight to the floor. John immediately began to struggle against this unknown assailant, but soon stopped as he heard a familiar giggle come from on top of him.

John rolled from under Blair until they both lay there on the ground, chest to chest. John had already known that Blair’s breast size was a C cup from Observe, his favorite size. However, even though they were separated by several layers of clothing, being pressed against them provoked an immediate reaction from his now fully erect member.

As John was about to let his Libido take the wheel, Blair got up and stood up above him. It was at this moment that John noticed that Blair had decided to wear a knee length black skirt today. A style choice that John greatly appreciated when he got to see a clear view of a black thong as she stood above him. The thong in question allowed him to see the outer edges of Blair's nethers and caused the little fat she had down there to press against her inner thigh. As John spent the next solid few seconds staring at it in an almost trance like state, he was pulled out of it when he felt Blair give him a light tap on his side with her boot.

"Mind telling me what's got your attention there, bucko?" Blair asked knowing full well what the answer was. She brushed a loose strand of hair aside with one hand and offered the other to John to help him up.

"Hmm, just appreciating a work of art I noticed, is all," he replied in his best attempt to flirt as he accepted her hand and was pulled up by her. Now both standing up Blair gave John a face that said "Oh really?" as she grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled his ear next to her mouth.

"If that’s the case, then how about you appreciate it some more for what it's really worth when we get back to my place?" Blair asked John with a sultry tone as she blew air lightly into his ear, which caused a shiver to travel down his spine. John opened his mouth slightly, but closed it again due to his inability to properly communicate what he was currently thinking.

Holy shit. Did she really just ask me to actually have sex with her? John asked himself as Blair took his silence as a yes and grabbed him by the arm as they both left the barrier and the bookstore together to catch a taxi.
