Hanging Out

I can't believe I'm about to have two girls over at my house.

"Dude, just breathe. You'll be fine" said Jasmine as she held a leash. Turns out, Jasmine LOVES my dog.

"Sorry, just nervous" I said. Again, I've never had friends over before.

"I'll be back in a hour or two. Don't start the threesome until I get back" she said as she walked out the door. Yeah, that helps my nerves.

Soon after, there is a knock on the door. I opened it and saw Amy and Lyn standing there. Both of them were smiling, which made me smile.

"Come on in" I said as I let them in.

"Wow. This place is really nice" said Amy as she looked around.

"Eh, I'm not really a fan. Before Jasmine moved in, I lived alone. The house got lonely fast" I said, making the two girls stare at me in shock.

"Joseph, that's terrible" said Amy as she wrapped her arms around me. I hugged her back, avoiding her waist for now.

"It's fine. I'm kinda used to it" I said. This didn't seem to sit well with either girl.

"That isn't something you should be used too" said Amy as she pulled away. I looked over at Lyn, who looked upset.

"Lyn, it's ok" I said as I cupped her cheek.

"It's not just that. I guess I feel guilty. I could have helped you. All I had to do was be your friend" she said as she couldn't meet my eyes.

"Lyn, don't blame yourself. You're here now, and that's all that matters" I said. We locked eyes for a moment before she hugged me.

"You're the best" she said before Amy joined the hug. Wow, this is really nice.
