There is nothing more sobering than watching the woman you love more than life itself nearly being stolen away from you. You have never felt more awake, more alive, or angrier as you jump out and scream, "NO!"

Causing everyone to turn to you and repeat, "No?!?"

"Yeah... Fuck no; you can marry her."

Mr. Jones tries to stay calm but is clearly frustrated by you ruining this perfect moment. "John I don't think you get a say in what I can and can't do."

"Hell yeah, I do, when the woman you're trying to marry is my wife."

Mr. Jones: "Your wife. John I think you are a little bit too tired and delusional."

"If I am so Delusional, why don't you go ask the resort The name of the couple that canceled their honeymoon reservations for yesterday? Or better yet, take a look at my address and ask yourself why would we both travel hundreds of miles to do work that could be done at home."

You throw your id to his feet, but he doesn't even look at it as he says, "If that is the truth, why would you let... "

You cut him off before he can finish, "Let you have sex with my wife. Because I didn't want to piss her father off, who, might I add, is doing everything in his power to get rid of me."

Amy "I thought you liked watching?" that question was enough to confirm everything to Mr. Jones as his face turned to that of anger. Oddly enough, the anger was not directed toward you or your wife, but it was pointed straight at her father. "Mr. Jones, is everything that comes out of your mouth a fucking lie?" this was the first time ever you had heard that man sear outside the bedroom, so you were speechless as he continued, "You should never ask a lier if he is lying so no don't answer that." he then walks up and places his hand on Greg chest "I can't trust you. And I can't be around or do business with people I can't trust, so I think the next flight is in four hours; if you're not on it, you will be swimming home. "

The look on Greg 's face is like you just brought his whole world down. But in a way, you did. In his business, not being able to do business with Mr. Jones is like a **** sentence. No one does business with people that Mr. Jones has blackballed. With those few words, your father-in-law just went from one of the wealthiest guys in the area to fighting for a job at a fast-food restaurant.

Mr. Jones then turns back to you. "As for you, I am too angry to say what I need to say to you. Please do me a favor and stay at my cabin, so I can come and find you when I finally have calmed down." He then starts matching off as well with his ring in his hand, leaving you along with your wife on the beach.

She slowly walks up to you. "Don't get me mistaken, I still love you more than the world itself; I know why you did what you just did, but there had to be another way. A way that didn't involve ruining daddy."

You both silently walk back into the house. It took two silent long days for Mr. Jones to return and talk to you. He apologized for everything and actually offered you a respectable job. Seeing your current employer's company is likely going under, and the job he offered you was much better, you took it on the spot.

It took a year of Greg struggling and fighting every second of the way for his company to go under. It would have been better if he just let it go because he racked up so much debt trying to save it that he lost his house with it. With nowhere else to go, he moved your house with you and your wife.

Amy did truly love you, but she didn't want to stand a family with you, not while she was caring for her aging, depressed father.
