Chapter 26 by SG SG

Do they do a test run?

Groundwork first.

"Oooh, after this we should a get Cinnabon!" Madison exclaimed as the scent of the food court hit them. She and Ross were on hour three of their shopping trip to the local mall, with a lovely button-up and a pair of heels to show for it.

Ross sighed wearily. "After this I'm gonna need a drink. Seriously, Madison, can't you just get that skirt we saw at Calvin Klein?"

"The one that makes my ass look flat? Remember, Professor Madison is an immaculate dresser. We need her to look the part."

"Why would this golem tech care how your ass looks? Let's just get a business casual pair of pants and get out of here," he grumbled. "I can't believe I have a completely obedient golem girlfriend and I'm still stuck clothes shopping with you on a Saturday."

Madison was eyeballing a pair of slacks in a window display. "I think we may have completed my outfit," she said.

In the store, Madison dismissed the salesperson's assistance and went straight to the women's section. To Ross's dismay, she selected a dozen bottoms of different sizes and colors. Ross sat on the small bench outside the fitting rooms, but she grabbed his hand and pulled him into the room with her.

"What's going on?" Ross asked. "Aren't you just gonna try these on?"

"I had a feeling this trip would be miserable for you," she told him as she reached into her purse. "So I brought a treat. When I'm done trying on these pants I want to try this on for you."

She handed him a script and shimmied out of her jeans. Ross looked at the script. It was unlabeled and indistinguishable from any other script to the naked eye. "What is it?"

She had put on a slim pair of dark green trousers. Looking at herself in the mirrors, she bent one leg, then the other. "It's a surprise. What do you think of these?"

"They don't make your ass look flat," he said mildly. "They look good. Professional."

She grinned as she struck a pose and looked herself over in the mirror. "You just want to get to the surprise. You're right, though. I think we're done clothes shopping."

Ross breathed a sigh of relief as she carefully removed the pants and put them on the hangar. Putting her jeans on, she nodded to the script he was holding. "As soon as I'm dressed you should put that in me."

"Here?" Ross asked. "In the dressing room? You're not gonna cause a scene, are you?"

"I'm not gonna do anything," she told him. She grabbed his hand and put his fingers to her forehead. "That script is. It's not gonna embarrass you or anything, though. Promise."

Ross looked concerned, but he said the word. He grabbed Madison's script as it fell out of her mouth and replaced it. A few seconds later, Madison's body was standing tall, a hand on one hip and a seductive smile on her face. She had an air of carnality and menace about her.

"You must be Ross," she said in a posh English accent.

"Yeah," he mumbled awkwardly. "Who are you?"

"You can call me Maddie." She stepped forward haughtily and put a hand on his shoulder. "I'm here to do two things. The first is you."

"What's the second?" Ross asked.

Madison leaned in close and whispered into his ear. "It's a surprise. Now sit down, you naughty boy."

He did as she said and she straddled him, running a finger sensually across his lips. He chuckled nervously. "Um, who are you? Or, like, what's your script making you do? Or whatever?"

She pouted seductively, arching her back so that her tank-top clad breasts were only inches from his face. "Oh, darling, I can't just tell you. What's the fun in that? Your friend Madison created me just for you, so I think you ought to guess. It's only sporting!"

Ross was having a hard time concentrating with Maddie in his lap. "I don't know, you're like a sexy English lady? Like a Bond girl?"

"Really?" she asked, feigning offense. "You think I'm some useless tart, waiting to be kidnapped and rescued by a pair of Neanderthals in fancy clothes? Think harder, baby. You can figure it out."

As she stared imperiously down her nose at him, waiting for an answer, Ross thought about the conversations he'd shared with Madison. They had talked about books, music, movies...

"Oh my God," he said as it struck him. "You're her. I told Madison I had a crush on her in seventh grade!"

"That's right," she said with a coy smile. "I'm the Devil, baby."

"You're Elizabeth Hurley's character from Bedazzled!" he cried. "Holy shit!"

Apparently Madison was taking notes.
