Goldie or the Shuttle?
Goldie
"Hey Goldie," you asked, "would you mind giving me a lift to town, I need to get some things too."
"Yea," she said with a smile, "ok, meet me back here."
"Making friends already," said Haley.
"Might as well," you said.
She showed you to your dorm but unlike Goldie walked you up to your room.
"This is you," she said, "369"
"Thanks," you said, "you didn't have to walk me up."
"Don't mention it," said Haley, "I'm an RA here so you'll be seeing a lot of me, especially if you get into trouble."
"Is that the only way to get to see you?" you asked with what you hoped was a confident smirk.
Haley smiled and scribbled something on a piece of paper before handing it to you.
"You can also text me," she said before turning to leave, "heads up there's a welcome party my sorority is throwing tonight, it's open to everyone. You should come, bring Goldie too."
Haley left you standing in the hallway and after putting your meager possessions into your room you made your way back to Goldie's dorm where she was waiting for you.
"Thanks," you said a while later as you pulled up outside Target.
"Don't mention it," said Goldie, "I figured you would have wanted to take the shuttle and meet some new people. You're outgoing and everything."
"Yeah," you said, "but then I wouldn't get to spend time with you."
Either the sun was getting to her or she was blushing hard but she scurried past you into Target. After a few hours shopping at different stores you had everything including a cellphone.
"Alright," said Goldie, "back to campus?"
"We'll have all semester to eat campus food," you said, "let me buy you dinner to say thanks."
"Me," she said, "like you and me, dinner?"
"Only if you want to," you said.
"Yes," she said, "I want to."
You let her pick the restaurant and much like she had for the rest of the day she didn't say a lot unless you asked. Goldie drove you back to campus and dropped you by your dorm, rather than just let you hop out she stopped and followed you to the door.
"Thanks again," you said, "I never would have been able to hold this all on the shuttle."
"Don't mention it," she replied, "it was nice to have company, and thanks for dinner."
"Haley mentioned there was a party just off campus in a bit," you said, "I was going to swing by if you wanted to join. That is if you're not sick of me."
"No," she said, "not sick of you. Meet you in a bit?"
"You've got it."
You went upstairs, dropped your things and got changed. Once you were getting ready to leave the door opened and the guy you assumed was your roommate stepped in.
"Yo man," said the guy, "we finally caught each other, you must be John, I'm Dre."
You reached out and shook his hand. He was as tall as you and still wearing his university basketball jersey. Dre was tall, black and cut sporting a shaved head.
"Haley show you around?" asked Dre.
"She did," you replied.
"So you going to the party?" he asked.
"I was going to."
"Nice," said Dre, "I was worried they were gonna stick me with a nerd, I'm gonna shower quick then we can head over."
The two of you cut across campus some time later, you introduced Dre to Goldie and made your way towards the sorority house. You'd barely come in the door when a very **** Haley greeted you.
"Yous guys made it," she slurred, "drink."
