Going to School

"Kyle, what are you doing here so early?" Alex answered the door with a yawn, pretending to be half asleep.

"I'm here for Lillian. Her mom wants her back for something important this afternoon." Kyle answers.

"I see, come on in then. I heard Lillian enter the bathroom when I woke up. You might have to wait for a bit."

Kyle did just that before saying, "You never get back to me about what you wanted yesterday."

"Oh, right, that." He remembers. The cleaning yesterday took a lot longer than expected that he kind of forgot about it. "I wanted some books about summoning, just the basic ones would do, and a medium size Mana Crystal."

"The books are easy enough to get but the Mana Crystal might take a while."

"It's fine as long as I get it before the mission."

"In that case, I think I can get you the books by tonight and the Mana Crystal... the best you can hope for is a day before the mission."

"Yeah, that's good enough."

After the talk of their dealing is done, Alex and Kyle make small talks until Lily comes out of the bathroom. She is "surprised" to see Kyle there so early but reluctantly goes with him after hearing that her mom wants her back home. After saying their goodbyes, Alex got ready, he head out of the barrier and is surprised to see Amelia there waiting for him with a knowing grin.

"So, how did your morning go?" She asks.

He flicks her on the forehead, putting more strength into it than necessary. "Troublesome, thanks to you."

"Ow-" Amelia cried. "That actually took off 10 HP." Alex can actually see that. Looks like she didn't disband the party after yesterday. He wonders how long it'll last or if it'll last forever until she disbands it herself.

"You'll live. It'll be back up to full by the time we get to school anyway." Her ability is bullshit like that as they found out yesterday. Even with only 10% of her life left, she's still able to fight at full power, something not many people can say they can do. Not only that, she'll be back up to full health in just a few hours.

"Wait, school? I thought we're going to do more awesome Abyss stuff today."

"Just because you have power now doesn't mean you get to stop going to school, not unless you can convince your parents to let you stop."

Amelia pouts, "Can't you just make up an excuse for me like you did yesterday?"

"I could... but I won't. Besides, you need to keep up your normal life appearance or people from the Abyss will be able to easily identify you as being part of the Abyss."

"Fine." Amelia reluctantly agrees. She doesn't like school much and is only going because her parent **** her to. If she had a choice, she would have dropped out when she was in high school.

A/N: Updates is going to slow down for the foreseeable future. Just got a VR headset and would be playing that... a lot.
