Go outside

On an impulse, I quickly stripped out of my pajamas, grabbing a pair of running shorts from my dresser and hurried downstairs. I slipped into the shorts, taking a calming breath before opening the backdoor, smiling as I saw Chloe glance over at me as I stepped into the cool summer morning. Chloe smiled back at me, a mix of surprise and curiosity on her face.

"Good morning," she greeted me warmly, walking towards me. "I wasn't expecting to see anyone else out here this early."

I returned her smile, trying to hide the excitement I felt inside. "It's so lovely out here, I couldn't resist," I told her, trying to keep my eyes on her face and not her lycra clad body. "Mind if I join you?"

Chloe smiled and motioned towards the empty grass beside her. "Not at all," she replied, her voice warm and inviting. "In fact, I could use the company." I nodded, walking over to join her. As we started stretching together, I couldn't help but notice how close we were. The warm morning air and gentle breeze caused Chloe's scent to drift towards me, a mixture of sweat and sweetness that was intoxicating. Despite the innocent nature of our workout, I couldn't help but feel a sense of electricity between us. Every time our eyes met, there was a spark of interest and attraction that seemed to intensify with each passing moment. As we continued our stretches, we started talking, getting to know each other better.

Chloe seemed genuinely interested in my life, asking questions about my job and hobbies. I found myself relaxing around her, enjoying the conversation and the company. As we wrapped up our stretching routine, Chloe glanced at her watch, "There's just enough time for a quick jog around the neighborhood before the girls have to get to school. Care to join me, Seth?"

I hesitated for a moment, not sure if I was ready for such an intense workout so early in the morning. But something about Chloe's invitation was hard to resist. "I'd love to," I finally replied, trying to keep my voice steady. Chloe smiled, her eyes twinkling with excitement.

"Great! Just follow me, and we'll take it slow. It's just a short loop around the neighborhood." She took off at a brisk pace, her long legs eating up the distance with ease. I struggled to keep up with her, my heart racing as I tried to match her stride.

As we jogged side by side, our bodies swaying in sync with each other's movements, I couldn't help but feel a sense of exhilaration coursing through my veins. Chloe seemed to be enjoying herself too, occasionally flashing me a mischievous glance out of the corner of her eye. As we neared the end of our run, we slowed down to a brisk walk, catching our breath. Chloe glanced at me, her face flushed from the exertion, and smiled. "That was invigorating," she panted. "I needed that." I nodded in agreement, my chest heaving as I tried to catch my breath.

"Me too," I managed to say between breaths. We continued to walk side by side, enjoying the peaceful morning around us. After a few moments, Chloe spoke up, her voice soft and hesitant.

"So," she began, "did you...enjoy the workout?" She glanced over at me, her eyes dancing with uncertainty. My heart skipped a beat as I realized the implication of her question. Here was Chloe, inviting me into her life in more ways than one.

Yes, I enjoyed it," I responded honestly. "It was challenging, but in a good way." There was an unspoken tension between us, and I felt my body grow warm with anticipation. We continued walking in silence for a few moments before Chloe broke the silence again.

"Would you like to... join me again sometime? Maybe tomorrow morning?" Her voice was barely above a whisper, and her eyes were fixed on mine.
