Go for the Counterattack

You feel confident, the magic of the ring is permeating your body and filling it with unlimited potential. You raise your sword vertically in front of you and gather some of your strength and magic into the blade. It's instinctive and easy, and soon, your blade glows with a light golden sheen. But you sense more power available within you, ready to be used at the right time.

Tara looks serious as well, preparing some chains in front of her to defend as well as having two of them hanging behind her, ready to attack.

You take one step, then another and run towards her, your sword trailing behind you. You scream as you run, and get ready to attack. Tara spreads her chains in front of her, trying to stop your course and trap you in her net but at the last moment you slide under the chains.

Her eyes widen as you get in front of her and raise your sword to strike. She uses her remaining two chains to strike you first but you manage to deflect them with your blade, the golden glow around it cutting easily through the two chains as if they were butter. You then switch your grip on the sword and turns it around, focusing the remaining energy inside of you in your attack. The flat of your blade hits her hard on the side of the face and she's thrown to the floor hard. The net of chain she built behind her falling to the floor with a loud noise.

Tara prone body rebounds several times on the ground as she's thrown across the room from the force of your hit. She stays on one knee, holding her face with one hand and a pained grimace.

With a grunt, she gets on her feet as she focuses more magic on her face, healing the bruise. But the draw on her stamina is noticeable in her slightly slouched posture now whereas this attack tired you a bit but you can still fight.
