"Well," Ethan gives her the best he can at the moment, "I think there might be something..."

Charlie's eyes flutter, and Ethan hears her audibly swallow. "Y-You do..."

"I do, yeah." Ethan tries to give her a reassuring smile, but can't seem to make it steady.

"Like..." Charlie sips her beer, "Mutually?"

"I..." Ethan hesitates, "I think maybe, yeah."

"I see..." Charlie slumps back in her seat, looking winded. "Do you... Um," she downs the rest of her drink, "Do you wanna... Maybe... Join Sam and Ashley?"

"Huh?" Ethan feels something in the mood shift.

"Just to, you know," she shrugs, "Ease the mood a little?"

Sighing, Ethan gets it. Frankly, he does feel a little bit of tension. Glancing over at the other two, Ethan considers his options.
