Getting to the Studio

You drive through the city on your way to the Fashion District where April keeps her studio. Despite being an up-and-coming designer she has kept her roots in the fashion district and has refused to go work for any major company. She is very particular about the clients that she chooses, and now that she has made it well she can be even more selective. You found her relatively early on in her career and have remained a loyal client ever since, you occasionally introduce her to either girls who work for Disney or some of your personal clients when they need a dress to wear for an award ceremony or some special function.

You really appreciate that unlike a lot of people out here in LA she still abides by the traditional styles of men's clothing that you enjoy like a traditional well-tailored three-piece suit. She also tends towards that older style of the glory days of Hollywood. Your entire closet now is just full of her clothes. in addition unlike many people who are more artistic in nature, she is reliable and dependable and always gets stuff done ahead of schedule.

As you enter the Fashion District You see all the tourists and other people walking around getting a glimpse at the shops that most of them could never afford to buy from. April’s studio is off the main drag so you pull down a few side streets and pull your car down an alley that she has a few parking spots in it for the few clients who actually come to the studio. as you park you see there was a rental car along with her car in the other two spots you pull behind them kill the engine and get out of the car.

You walk over to the small nondescript door off the alley that leads up to her Studio, you crying the few fights of stairs up to her level and step out into the hallway before knocking on the door to her Studio. for a moment there is no response except for what you think is a bit of an arguing match on the other side of the door. after a few more moments you knock again this time a little bit louder hoping to get her attention as you don't have much time before you need to get back to your house to talk to the girls and then get ready for tonight.

As you wait there for someone to come open the door for you or respond from the other side you tap your foot getting a little bit impatient you are about to knock again when the doors open, and you see standing there not April but someone else. Just as you were about to say something you hear people's voices from deeper inside the studio say, “Kimmy if it is a tall, dark, and handsome guy just let him in. That is Ricky he is the guy who is coming to try on the suit.”

You just smile, as you look at the young girl who is standing at the door biting her bottom lip as she says to you, “I was going to let you in anyways. You look delicious, April has some great-looking clients. My name is Kimmy pleasure to meet you.”

You grab her hand and give it a kiss, “No the pleasure is all mine.” As she swoons a bit you step into the studio.
