Getting her bearings

Susan landed with a thud in a pile of leaves. She was in a forest, trees towering above her.

"Narnia." She said, trying to work out if she was pleased to be back or irritated at being violently yanked there. She clambered to her feet, brushing herself down. A large piece of red material fell from her right arm and tumbled to the ground, which puzzled Susan for a moment before she realised it was the sleeve of her jacket. It appeared her pull back to that land had been harsh on her clothing, as she saw the other sleeve was hanging by a thread, she found various other rips in the garment culminating in a split up the back, at which point she decided it was not worth wearing any more so discarded it. Searching the rest of her outfit she found two buttons torn from her blouse, and one of her shoes had come off but she saw it a few metres away. The worst damage she found was a large rip in the side of her skirt, revealing the pale skin of her thigh and the white cotton of her knickers.

Trying her best to make herself decent by adjusting her tie over the gap in her blouse and retrieving her shoe, Susan looked around for any sign of why she was back here.
