What do these voices say?
Get Dressed
"Come on Princess wake up now."
I groaned, and shifted, a sense of displacement ruining my nap. Fearing I might be in danger, I threw myself up, disheveling my bed and blankets, and drawing a hidden pistol on the figure at my bedside.
My Medicae the handsome Doctor Jack Dennings looked at me unimpressed over his slick mustache. "I told the Senechal that you'd be feeling fine when you woke up."
I blushed and lowered the gun. The good doctor was always making me blush. He was wearing a white shirt and vest combo, with the sleeves very wisely rolled up to his impressive biceps. "What happened to me?"
He shrugged. "Hard to say, I've done my due diligence. But I can't see that there's anything wrong with you." He paused as if weighing what he was about to say. "If I didn't know better I'd say you just fainted."
Ah, but not wise enough to not say THAT. My mother had set whole hive cities on fire. To suggest I could not handle a little gunfire? "Luckily you do know better." I looked down at myself in displeasure. "You undressed me?"
"A nurse, yes."
I was dressed in my frilly white sleeping gown. Not the sort of dress that demanded respect. "Under your orders."
He smiled. "I'm afraid I'm quite familiar with your body Lord Captain. As one would hope from their doctor. Modesty will forgive it.”
"Hardly seems fair." I leered at me. "One day I shall have to undress you."
And there went his cocky little smile. "I'm sure my wife would take issue with that."
"She can take it up with the Lord Captain." I warned him, and he squirmed under the weight of my authority. I'd been quite determined for a few months now to have him produce my first child. A bastard, and not my true heir, but it was always smart to have a few bastards running around. He was only a doctor, my true consort would have to be something impressive, a price, or general. Something like that. But a handsome doctor would be... fun.
"Well then Lord Captain, if you're satisfied with my services, perhaps I should get going." But he was playing hard to get.
I glowered at him. "I'm not satisfied at all doctor. I was attacked during a meeting, and and you can't tell me why I was robbed of my senses.”
"There's no physical damage." He said calmly, though my own voice wasn't sheparding him in that direction. "Sister Wisteria is discussing the matter with Master Cedrus."
"To see if my soul's been damaged." I said quietly.
In return he could give only a sad nod.
"Wonderful." I turned. "I guess it is time for you to go then."
He nodded and made his handsome way out of my chambers.
It was a long walk.
I bet he was happy to be rid of me. He thought I was some explosive teenager who'd rip his wings off at the slightest sign of displeasure. He could make jabs at me, but not the other way around. Typical.
The urge to get dressed, and act overwhelmed me. Who knows what I missed while I slept? I commanded thousands of souls in this big creaky ship. Even a moment of rest for me, meant a thousand lost moments.
"Yes it's time to get dressed, but let's be bold! People would not think of us as a child, if we dressed like an adult. Perhaps something more revealing would suit us?"

I suppose I was languishing a bit in my robes. My tailor had made them all for me, but they were in the same design as my mother's. Fashion does move on, and perhaps it's time to tread my own path... as far as fashion goes. "Keiki!" I bellowed.
A moment later, my bedroom attendant came scurrying into the room. Now there was an outfit that showed skin. Keiki was a trophy of my mother's, an albino rescued from the loving sun of her pleasure world, where the people were tanned and golden haired. She still wore the bra and loincloth combo that was traditional among her people. I don’t know how she stood the damn cold of that ship. She scampered forward, clumbsy as always on her big feet. "Ready to get dressed Mistress?" She asked innocently, not a thought in that pretty head.
“Bertha’s a cow name, you should wear something that fits it.”

"Ready, do we have anything in a cow print?" I asked, rising from my bed. She went to work undressing, and then redressing me. Her breed of human had large hands and feet, apparently an attractive prospect to her planet's clientele. They made for awful servants however. She'd broken more tea sets than I could count, and I knew dressings took longer than they had to her, with her fumbling with buttons and clasps. Her only saving grace was her experience, which heavily assisted her.
"Pretty as a picture!" She sighed, as she finished wrapping me up in my silk robes. She’d had to mix parts from a few outfits to come up with a full cow print robe, but she knew fashion if nothing else.
"Very nice." I nodded, admiring the pattern on me. It felt right, somehow. Suited to me i suppose. "Only I think we'll make some slight adjustments today."
"Oh?" She tilted her head, and looked at me curiously with her strange red eyes. She has long white eyelashes, and long white hair. Everyone on this ship had white hair, one way or another it seemed. "Shall I fetch your tailor?"
"No need." I took a knife, and with a few quick strokes cut my robes off at my knees, revealing my legs and a powerful set of boots. "There."
"Ohhh!" She vibrated and excitedly played with her hands. "I think Sister Wisteria will be upset with me if I leave you dressed like that."
I waved her off. "I'll tell her you did your best." I ran my hand along her head, and she sighed and leaned into the touch. "Now make my bed, and be good hmm?"
"Always, of course, yes!" Keiki smiled, and made her way to my vast bed. I don't know what my mother used her for when she was around. What good was a pleasure slave to a ship full of nuns? She'd always been my faithful maid, for as long as I could remember.
"You should fuck her, denying her, her nature for this long has been cruel."

Failure.
I shook my head.
Where had that thought came from?
I can safely say the idea of sex with Keiki had never occurred to me.
I pushed it from my mind, and allowed myself to leave my room.
It was a long walk.

"Lord Captain." Sister Wisteria greeted me on the deck. Her stern blue eyes fell to the hem of my robes, and her eyes went wide. She opened to mouth to protest but my rage extinguished her own.
"I want that man's whole clan exterminated!" I roared as I exited the lift.
"Already done."
"Summon Cedrus, I need to be examined for taint."
"The choir is examining the box, it'll take some time." Wisteria said.
"Fine. Bring him to me when he's done, with answers! Where's my arch militant? My soul is in peril and she's not by my side?"
Wisteria swallowed. "She's self flagelatting in the chapel."
"Then I shall join her." I summoned the lift and entered it a moment later. Wisteria joined me.
"You're being too harsh on yourself."
"In what way?" I demanded.
Her eyes became kind. "That was your first bit of business as Rogue Trader, to faint at first blush of your task... I have seen it before."
I was aghast, the lift shook around us. "You think I fainted too?" Who else had Dr.Jennings told?
She blushed, and said nothing.
"You do!" I'd rather she stabbed me. "I am not weak."
"I don't think you're weak."
"You must!" I threw my hands. "You've never fainted, not through gore, or death, or anything have you?”
"Well, no. But other sisters have."
"Repentia." I said dismissively.
"Good and honorable sisters. I won't say it's a proud thing, but it does happen."
"I did not faint." I sneered at her. "And the Chiormaster will prove it." The lift opened, revealing the Chapel in all it's glory. I got out and looked to Wisteria. "Would you like to join me? You seem lacking in faith."
She purged herself of the kind smile, and warmth she'd shown me on the lift. "I must find a replacement for the Station Master among the dregs of the station."
"Look for an officer among our crew who's due for a promotion. If these station dwellers were holding a demonic artifact, I'm not sure we can trust any of them."
Wisteria nodded, and allowed the lift to shut between us.
Now where is that dog?
I loved the chapel.
How could you not? This is where we worshiped, and it'd been richly built and decorated for that purpose. My mother's whole order, what remained of it had been put on this ship, church and all. It was thickly adorned with artifacts from that order's long history. Bones of saints, weapons, blood, and scripts so old they predated the sisters of battle. Here the faithful wailed, wept, and suffered for his glory.
The attendants of the shrine were eager to help me, and eager to guid me to Dionea, who'd reserved a repetance chamber for herself. None were allowed to enter into that sacred space while the repentant bloodied themselves, but my hand opened all doors. It flew open and I was greeted by the sight of Dionaea's bloody back, criss-crossed with the kiss of her flog. I was finally seeing her without her armor I realized.
“Dionea is sexy but I should punish her for her itchy trigger finger. She should be made to wear something humiliating.“

My anger at Dionaea was seared from my mind in a sudden rush of holy light. I staggered at the grandeur of the revelation.
Then so overcome, I ran to the sister whipping herself, dropped to my knees and hugged her.
“L-Lord Captain!” She gasped, squirming in my embrace. Her blood neatly smeared and ruined my freshly hemmed cow gown. “What’s come over you?”
I released her, and stood up. “I felt the Emperor’s presence in this room. He compels me to forgive you.”
She gasped and finally turned to me. She’d been weeping. She was in a simple tunic, opened at the back, and so unclasped it pooled around her shoulders, she held the cloth tightly to her breast to keep them from spilling out in my presence. She was radiating at my words. “Truly?”
“Yes.” I nodded. “I came here with a mind to punish you, but I’ve been forced to abandon that desire.”
“Praise be!”
“Indeed.” I sighed. “So instead I’ll thank you. Your actions were clearly of the Emperor’s design.” Then I was forced to admit. “Perhaps I did faint afterall.”
She knew better than to answer for that, she knew better than to look at me too. I knew I’d find pleasure among her brown eyes, placed there by my admission of weakness.
“Come.” I gave her my hand, and brought her to her feet. “Let us pray together, and be done with this.” I gave her a stern look. “If these heretics are harboring any more demons, I’ll need my Arch-Militant to help me find them.”

Rolling a 1 at the very start of the story was so hilarious I almost made it the end of this route. But instead i decided to have it create a hazard. It a shame though I was going to have a whipping scene, but this is why I like rolling dice! Thanks for the comments! Keep them coming!
