Genres and tags shortcoming in online reading

in this section i will be sharing my thoughts on the genre and tag system and how it needs a revamp to deal with the large amount of different story types in genres case and a more sleek and uniform set of tags used in tags case because tags have a few problems in practice: on some sites too many tags are used at times leaving one with too many worries and some of the tags also are not correct or tags something and the element that the tag plays a very minor part in the story and since tags generally dont differentiate how large of role the tagged content plays in the story it can scare away readers that if it wasnt tagged or tagged in a way that makes it clear how involved the tag is in the story would have read it or at least gave it a shot but didnt i myself have made this mistake a few times and realized how easy it is to make when i decided to give it a try and found many stories are nothing like the tags or comments make you believe the combination of issues with genres and tags leads to a couple things: since genre is too broad and many stories have too many or none to too few tags it can be very hard at times to find a specific type of books you want to read and some books you find interesting you might be hesitating to read based on some of the tags you see or comments you read in some cases below in the follow up i intend to try to work out a system to solve or minimize these issues as well as put up some observations of various sorts
