Jessica gulped at the prospect of what she was nominally agreeing to do, but she decided to agree to Mallory's silly demands, and see herself out of the reunion as soon as Mallory wasn't watching her. Even in the worst case scenario that someone was *actually* going to take her, though, Jessica didn't want to risk her makeup getting ruined.

"We can do the bathroom thing," Jessica said softly, "just not the face, though, okay?"

"Okay, fine," Mallory conceded, "let me get the marker."

Mallory grabbed a marker from out of a duffel bag on the folding table and wrote on the lower half of Jessica's abdomen.

"TAKE ME TO THE BATHROOM

USE ME ANYWHERE BUT THE FACE"

"There we go!" Mallory admired her handiwork as Jessica looked down at the scribbling below her belly button.

"Now, then," Mallory grabbed Jessica's hand, "we have a party to go to."

Mallory led Jessica down the hallway to the banquet room before leaving her to attend to other duties. Jessica scanned the room, debating her next options.
