Chapter 3 by anonymousboygd anonymousboygd

Which team wins?

France, by a lot

Finally, the night had arrived. All three of the boys were exhausted from a long day at the beach. All day they sat out in the sun, but their normal conversation was filled with an unusual horny anticipation.

None of the boys could believe the bet that had been made. They were horny 19 year old boys, fresh out of high school. Of course they're going to make stupid bets, and they sure wouldn’t back out either. The boys had been at this for years, even their parents were in on it. Their parents had always told them, they don’t care if they make bets and dares, but don’t ever welch.

Welchers are shameful, dishonorable, and untrustworthy. The Perry and Walton families were very much against that. This time though, the boys may have all made a bet way too big for any of them to live up to.

It was 6pm, and the boys all turned their attention to the big game on the tv. It should be over by 7:30, just in time for the loser to make it to the registration office before they close at 8.

“What a matchup we will have here today folks. France vs USA in what will probably go down as the best basketball game of the decade. Both teams are very competitive, we will get to see which team can persevere and pull out the victory,” read off the tv commentator.

“You’re going down Walton,” said Jack. “Enjoy this final hours with your clothes, and all the modesty you have left.”

“Thanks, but team USA already has the win. I was valedictorian and future attorney, do you really think I would make a wager this big if I couldn’t keep it?” Asked Lukas.

“Well brother, you may ‘think’ you are always the smartest man in the room, but you will soon learn you are simply the ‘nudest’ dude in the room. Sure team USA is good, and this will be a tough match, but our team will win by at least 10 points,” responded Zach.

“Psh, just wait and see. Team USA is going to blow France out of the water, by at least 40,” spouted of Lukas.

The game got off to a close start. Both teams were neck and neck and where team USA brought the offense, team France more than compensated in defense. At the end of the first quarter, team France was ahead 17-14.

“You may as well start stripping, brother,” said Zach.

“Not a chance, you haven’t seen nothing yet,” responded Lukas.

The second quarter got going and again it was very close. Team France was already starting to wear down as their defense was having to overwork to keep up with Team USA’s offense. Team USA made several key plays and hit their threes and just like that, it hit half time and team USA was ahead 36-23.

“Boom, baby. Take that, and you may as well go ahead and strip. Your lousy team will never recover from that gap,” said Lukas.

“No way, we’ve got this. Team France still has the talent to win the gold,” responded Jack. Though he was noticeably starting to become worried.

Zach looked over at his friend and could see the concern. At this rate, not only would they be completing the first semester of their freshman year of college completely naked, but it could be much worse!

The third quarter began, and it wasn’t much different from the first half. The France defense came out strong, clearly having rested during the break. Team USA’s offense was still on fire, but not as accurate as quarter two.

With three minutes left on the clock in the third quarter, France made a great steal resulting in a layup on the other end. This set in motion a whole chain of events, causing team France’s offense to finally find their groove. Then they caught a lucky break as one of the key players in USA’s offense fouled out of the game. However, not quite fast enough. At the end of the third quarter, team USA led 54-42.

As the fourth quarter began, it looked like the tide or the game may be changing. Team USA was noticeably hurting with the loss of a key player. That wouldn’t stop them though, they were out for gold.

Both teams played hard through the final quarter of the game. It had all the fans across the world at the edge of their seats, especially at the Walton/Perry houses.

It all came down to the final 4 minutes of the last quarts. With a time out by the USA, team USA was leading 62-58. It was a close game. They went back out, but only 15 seconds after the timeout, there was an injury on the court… and it looked bad. After all the teams assessed the situation, it appears the shooting guard for team USA sustained a serious ankle fracture.

Lukas jumped up, concerned. “We still have this. Come on USA, we have the lead.”

Once game play resumed, the entire game had changed as they had known it. Without two of their key players, team USA was simply no match for France. In a huge upset, team France beat team USA 98-64.

The Walton and Perry families went silent. Everybody sat, not knowing how to process the game that they had wagered such high stakes. The boys almost felt bad, as this turnout was unexpected. None of them had truly expected either team to lose by such big margins, resulting in the worst of punishment. But what can they say, a bet is a bet.

What happens now?
