For once, yes!

It felt almost natural to the both of you. You each slipped into your roles, supporting each other and talking the business up. Neither of you let up in your praise of each other, either. It was odd for you to feel like you could really rely on someone like this. You'd never had someone have your back in this kind of way before. Tegan would be quiet and meek in a situation like this.

Then again, maybe Dillon would be too. You both seemed to give each other strength that you wouldn't have otherwise. When dinner finally came around, the two of you sat exhausted at the table. "Is it going to be like this every day?" Dillon asked, wanting nothing more than to splay out and fall asleep.

"Some days, probably. Remember, we still have our presentation towards the end of the month, so save some of your energy for that." You weren't too worried about it, but you did know it was a big deal. The schmoozing was one thing, but getting people to fully buy in was another.

"At least tomorrow is a bit of a free day," she leaned her head on your shoulder. "We can just relax. Maybe to go the pool."

"I was thinking of hitting the hot tub tonight, actually." You gave her a knowing wink. She returned it with a knowing smile of her own.

"You might be on your own with that one for tonight. After the flight and all of this, I'm ready to crash for the night. I'm sure we'll have plenty of time for fun later," Dillon gently strokes your arm. "I love this. Us."

Both of you seemed to be on the same wavelength there. It was strange to you; you'd always thought that some overly dominant woman was going to be the one to tempt you, but this was not that at all. It was something you weren't even sure how to name. Half of you really wanted to go back to the room and snuggle with Dillon in your arms. The other half really wanted to feel the jets of the hot tub work out the knots in your back.
