Follow Barriss

“Alright Barriss, lead the way.” Anakin declared.

“Skywalker…” Aayla began.

“I’m afraid it’s too late, Master Secura. Once Anakin has made up his mind, the best we can do is guide him along.” Obi Wan interjected with a sigh.

“Thank you, Master.” Ahsoka said with relief.

Barriss smiled wider, though not maliciously, pleased that the group would come with her.

“Very good. Come now, it’s a bit of a walk.” Barriss said, as she waited by the corridor for them to follow.

Anakin moved first, followed by Ahsoka, and then reluctantly by Obi Wan and Aayla. Aayla however, turned and looked to Bly following behind her.

“Commander, have one of the squads remain here. I want to make sure that door stays open.” She commanded.

“Yes General. I’ll assign Popshot to it.” Bly replied with military precision, and without missing a beat ordered the clone sergeant to carry out the Generals orders. Ten of the clones would remain by the door to make sure it stayed open. Rex, Bly, and the other 10 would remain with the Jedi.

The entire group followed behind Barriss, Ahsoka keeping a particularly close eye on her fellow Padawan. Barriss had always had such grace to her movements, but now she seemed to also move with such confidence as well. So much so that when he robe shifted and more of her legs were revealed she made it seem more like a sign of dominance rather than a slip of the wardrobe. Like she was showing herself off as she wanted to.

“Barriss… I gotta ask: Why are you dressed like that?” Anakin questioned as he walked.

“When we arrived we had an initial scuffle with the occupants. Nobody was injured, but my robes ended up rather damaged. In apology they offered me this cloak.” Barriss explained.

“Well, hopefully we can get you some proper replacement robes once we’ve returned to the temple.” Kenobi added.

“Certainly, though I must say I rather enjoy the cloak. And it seems I’m not the only one, Master Jedi.” Barriss teased, smirking back at group of Jedi who all snapped their gazes away from where they had been: lined up nicely where the Padawan’s swaying hips were. Ahsoka blushed, as she hadn’t been fast enough for her own staring to not be obvious.

“Careful Padawan, Master Luminara might not appreciate such comments.” Kenobi said.

“You might be surprised, Master Kenobi. We haven’t been here long, but she’s gained some interesting perspectives being here.” Barriss countered.

“What kind of perspectives?” Ahsoka asked.

“You’ll see soon enough. Here we are…” Barriss lead the group into the elevator chamber she and Luminara had found when they first arrived. Walking over to the central pillar, she pressed her finger against it near the top and let it light up as the room begun to move. The group was initially startled, but Barriss explained its function and so they relaxed.

Finally, the room seemed to stop moving and a new doorway opened up. Barriss took the lead once more, and brought the group to a new chamber.
