Flynn walks to Fyham

I briskly walked away from the small inn. I didn’t want to be anywhere near there when Keffany and Keffany’s mom were back to normal. There was a nearby sign on the unkept path that informed me I was 15 miles away from a town called Fyham. It was very convenient that this fantasy world also used miles! I didn’t have any better plans, so I decided to walk to Fyham.

I soaked in the sights while walking there. It was a beautiful sunny day. Thankfully I didn’t have to worry about getting sunburnt because the forest I was walking through provided plenty of shade. I saw plants and small wildlife I’d never seen on earth. I didn’t want to stray too far away from the path though, I had no idea how dangerous it was in the forest.

After walking for what I imagined to be 2 hours, I checked my HUD to see if my Slide Rule points had been replenished yet. Only one of them had been replenished so far. That meant that it would probably take another 10 hours for my 6 total points to be fully replenished. I also figured out that for each point I added to a person, it would take 30 minutes for the points to revert back. So for example, if I added 4 points to someone’s Hunger Attribute it would take 2 hours in total for those 4 points to be taken off.

I continued to walk along the path and tried to see if I could gain any more information by going through my HUD, when suddenly black smoke formed in front of me. Not knowing what was happening, I started to run away and hid behind a nearby tree, but an angel appeared from the smoke not too long after. It was the same angel that had placed me in this world from Purgatory.

“Hello there Flynn.” The Angel said with a smile as she fully stepped out of the smoke. She was as beautiful as ever. Her blonde hair and blue eyes were captivating.

“Hi” I said back. I was on my guard. I didn’t know what the Angel wanted.

“You know, I’m surprised Flynn. I didn’t think you had the guts to do what you did back there at the Inn. You are quite the pervert, aren’t you Flynn?” The Angel said as she approached me.

“Well, I needed to test the strength of my powers.” I replied calmly.

“Yeah, but come on, I think there were less perverted ways of testing them. Don’t kid yourself Flynn. I know a pervert when I see one.”

“Why are you here exactly?” I asked defensively.

“Oh, I occasionally like to check up on the people I reincarnate into this world. Especially the ones I find interesting.” The angel said as she casually examined some leaves on a nearby tree.

“There are others like me here?” I asked surprised.

“Oh Flynn, don’t be so naive. I’ve dropped off hundreds of humans on this planet in the last 50 years or so. Let’s just hope you don’t run into any of them any time soon because they are much much more powerful than yourself.”

“I thought you didn’t like to answer questions?”

“Well I don’t, but, you are growing on me Flynn. I’m dying to see what you make of yourself in this new world. I’ll be rooting for you.” The Angel said as she winked at me.

Just then I had a crazy idea. I checked to see if I could see the Angel’s attributes, and it turned out that I could! This was exciting. I went to her Gullibility attribute and saw that it was at a 1. Additionally, the HUD informed me that her constitution level was 100 and therefore it would take 5000 Slide Rule Points to move her Gullibility attribute to 2. Yeah, she was extremely powerful. I couldn’t do jack shit to her at the moment. I don’t know if I ever would be able to do anything to her. The Angel was quite literally the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen in my life, it would be amazing to have control over her.

The Angel started to laugh while I was checking her attributes. “Did you just try to Mind Control me Flynn? Hahaha, oh wow. I’ve never met a human as brazen as you. I think I’m going to have to punish you for your hubris.”

“Punish me?” I asked before gulping hard.

“Yeah, let’s see how you like being Mind Controlled” She said with a wicked smile.
