Flame whip

The flame whip is much more than a fancy lightshow. For somebody skilled with whips, it is a deadly weapon. And you are skilled with whips. Your father showed you how to use a normal one to make the ox keep going, professor Ashwolf showed you how to use it as a weapon and Luna … well she has also some ideas how to use a whip. You focus on the runes and let the magic flow, like you did it so often during your lessons. A circle of red light appears in your hand and the runes you think about rush through it. It is not easy to remember precise which runes are needed to make the whip as long and thick as you need it.

When the last rune appears you quickly snap with your fingers. The circle disappears and a small flame appears in your hand. It gets longer and longer until you have a two meter long, flexible stripe of pure, hot fire in your hand. It can burn everything, even yourself, except your hand. You let it flow through the air to test it. Since it is made of fire and not of a real material, it does not crack in the air, but you can work with it perfectly.

The chimera growls at you. Tocar used a flame whip too, but rather to vary his spells. You are much more confident with this weapon. Both you and the chimera circle around each other like wild animals. Always watching the other one for a chance to attack. The chimera makes the first move. It jumps forward with an open mouth and wants to bite you. But you are quick. You pull the whip in its way and **** it to jump back. Then you pull your whip to the other side to make an attack yourself. It works well enough to burn a small piece of fur. Not very much, but it is a start.

The fight goes on. You hit with the whip right and left. sometimes to attack, sometimes to defend. It seems to work. The chimera is mostly in its defense and this makes it angry. Angry enough to try a bold attack. It jumps forward and again and again you hit it with the whip. But this time it takes the blow against the head and stabs with its tail at you. you jump to the side and the tail misses you only by a centimeter. However, the whip got caught at the chimeras wolf head. It struggles, but only archives that the flame whip ties itself around the chimeras neck. According to its angry and painful screams, this must hurt like hell. You almost feel pity, but only almost.

The chimera rips it’s head around and you get pulled away. You bump into the side of your opponent, and go down with it. You come to your senses quickly and immediately wrap your whip around its neck two more times. Then you pull with one hand and support with the other one, the heat burns at your skin, but you don’t care. You just want to **** this beast to ****. Honestly, you are not even sure that this is possible. You don’t have a solid rope in your hand after all.

Your professor would scold you for this move. You are now directly next to the monster, only twenty centimeters away from its scorpion tail. One quick sting and your live is as good as over. But to your **** luck, the chimera is too busy fighting the **** pain at its neck. It bucks, kicks and throws itself around like a rodeo bull. You need all your strength to keep it at least somewhat under control. The screams quickly get longer and suddenly stop. You are surprised but only half a second later, you fall on your back.

You look around to see what has happened, and immediately get ready to fight back. But the chimera does not move. It takes a while for you to notice, that the chimeras head is not about a meter away from the rest of its body. Your flame whip burned a line through the neck of the chimera and smoothly beheaded it.
