Finish exploring and get lunch

After finishing your exploration, you decide to join the rest of the crew for lunch in the dining hall. As you approach, you notice most of the crew already gathered, chatting and laughing. You check the clock—11:23 A.M. 7 minutes early. It seems punctuality is a common trait here.

You find a seat between Maria and Kira. Across from you sit Aneni and Camille. Kira raises an eyebrow and frowns slightly, clearly questioning your choice of seat.

"What's for lunch?" you ask Kira politely, trying to break the ice.

She shrugs and looks away, her expression unreadable.

"I think it's mushroom risotto," Maria offers from your other side, her voice warm and welcoming.

"Thanks," you reply, smiling at her. She blushes and nods, looking pleased.

As you make small talk with the others, the doors swing open at precisely 11:30 A.M, and Destiny and Samantha walk in together, sharing a rare moment of laughter. You find yourself hoping to be the cause of such a smile from Destiny someday.

Isabelle's voice rings out from the kitchen, "Lunch is ready!"

Everyone settles in, and Isabelle starts serving the mushroom risotto. The room fills with expressions of gratitude as forks dig into the creamy dish. You observe the crew’s interactions, noting the dynamics at play.

Samantha shares trivia and stories with enthusiasm, Isabelle asks engaging questions, and Aneni’s playful jokes keep the mood light. Maria, Destiny, and Camille chime in occasionally, adding their thoughts to the lively discussion.

Kira, however, remains silent. You glance at her, catching her eye for a brief moment before she looks away, focusing on her meal. You wonder what's on her mind, intrigued by her reserved demeanor.

As lunch wraps up, crew members begin to excuse themselves. You finish your meal last, noticing Camille nearby as she wipes her mouth as Isabelle does the dishes in the kitchen. The clock reads 12:17 P.M.

Camille approaches you with a curious look. "How are things with Kira?" she asks.

"Honestly, I'm not sure. I haven't made as much progress as I'd hoped. I'm hoping our next sessions will help open her up," you admit.

"Open her up, eh?" Camille teases, raising an eyebrow.

You groan, "Oh, that's not what I meant."

She chuckles, patting your shoulder. "Keep at it. Most of the crew hangs out in the lounge before getting back to work. Maybe you can join them there."

Taking her advice, you thank Isabelle on your way out and head to the lounge.
