Fertility got a lot to do with it

Deep in the forest a mighty wizard spends his days in experimenting. In the first day he had subjugated a tribe of goblins and forced them to be his slave and test subjects. Many years have past since then and one of his experiments ran fowl making the goblin more powerful and dangerous then a goblin should be.
