Chapter 2 by Felix2Felicity Felix2Felicity

Who do you want to follow?

Felix, 18 year old student

Felix was always a scrawny boy growing up and despite his supportive mother, he always felt like he was a disappointment to his father. He never gotten around to many things that his father considered manly or what society would deem predominantly male hobbies and attributes. He stopped growing at 5'5" and even though he turned 18 a couple of weeks ago, there was not even the slightest shadow of a beard growing on his face. Even as a child he preferred playing with dolls, playing house and in general tended to show an interest for all the things his mother did. Despite all of the attempts of his father, he never really gotten into any sort of sports his father would accept, but instead took up dancing from a young age. He loved wearing his dark brown hair a little longer, usually he either had them at middle length and sort of just ruffled them up or he let them grow out down onto his shoulders and straightened them.

It came to no surprise to his father that in middle and high school, Felix often came home bruised or crying since he was the regular target of the school bullies, never missing a change to let him know that Felix was weak and easy to be picked on. So as soon as he held his diploma in hands, he started looking for Universities to apply to, since at least acadamically he had everything going for him, mainting a straight A in all of his subjects.

After a couple of weeks waiting for responses he finally received a handful of acceptance letters, but the most promising he received from a University in Denmark. Due to his academic prowess and extracurricular activities they were happy to offer him a full scholarship for the University, housing and even cover the costs of moving. He was happy, blown out of his mind as this was finally a chance for a new start, one where maybe he was liked for his academic success, his love of roleplaying games and video games and not being bullied for his choice of clothing or his lack of muscle.

The time until he had to move passed quickly and soon he found himself alone in his dorm room, his parents just hit the road to drive back and he felt alone again. For an hour or two, Felix tried to occupy his mind with several different video games, but nothing really seemed to pique his interest anymore right now. Instead he felt the fear of being an outsider once more creep into his mind.

What should Felix do next?
