Farm Hand

After looking over the list, Laura saw a position for a farm hand. The description wasn’t very detailed, just that the volunteer would stay at the farm for a few weeks, doing whatever the farmer requests.

Laura wasn’t really a big fan of animals or being outside, but there weren’t really any good choices. With nothing left to lose, she circles the farm hand options and slides in back to her advisor.

“Hmm, Farm Hand eh,” he says, an amused look on his face. “I didn’t take you for the outdoorsy type. No matter, I’m sure you will do great.”

“Is there anything else I need to do?” Laura asks, just wanting to get this over with.

“Nothing here, just go to this address tomorrow and do whatever is asked of you.” He says, sliding a note to her. “Just remember, if this doesn’t work out, you can miss graduating this year goodbye.”

With that, Laura made her way back to her dorm room, her anxiety on overdrive. Failure isn’t an option, so she is going to be the best farm hand possible.
