Chapter 18 by fleekwoodmac fleekwoodmac

Which punishment does Faith choose?

Faith 2: Faith pulls the Continental Drift punishment and rolls for doubles

Acronyms were a whole other can of worms. These punishments were already eluding them all with normal titles. Faith didn’t want more riddles to figure out, and Sophie’s tryhard brain might wrap her mind around what B.O.U.N.C.E. means first. Faith didn’t want to give that stupid board gamer nerd a leg up on her, so she didn’t pick that one.

For similar reasons, anything with “Peculiar” in the name was bound to be some tricky incomprehensible complicated board game thing, too. Not to mention they’ve had enough peculiar things going on already!

Faith wanted to stay within her wheelhouse. Faith had seen most of the Jurassic Park and Ice Age movies, so she had a clear pick.

Faith pulled her card. The other two sucked back into the board with the, at this point, classic SCHWOOP noise.

Faith cleared her throat dramatically and read her new card aloud, “Continental Drift. Punishment. The slow, inevitable, parting drift of the continents now takes hold of a once close and parallel pair. Only vigilance can keep the spreading at bay.”

A few moments went by in silence as everyone tried to interpret what she just said. Faith broke the silence with, “Okay, I think I’m officially saving my brain power instead of trying to figure out all this gobbledygook.” She dropped her punishment card next to her other one. Three of the four girls had their punishments in front of them on the coffee table. Faith was a bit jealous of Lucy’s blank section of the tabletop.

Mia and Sophie quietly chuckled, while Lucy started pouring over the punishment cards in front of the other three girls like they were a textbook and she had a test in twenty minutes.

Faith was seated on the ottoman across from the other three, and leaned forward to re-grab the dice for her second roll. Her feet were on the ground about shoulder width apart.

“Are you making heads or tails of any of this?” Faith asked Lucy directly as she shook the dice, her feet now a bit further apart. Faith’s skirt raised with the movement, showing off more and more of her milky thighs covered with the sheer black stockings.

Lucy continued studying and didn’t hear the question.

Mia and Sophie watched Faith do some serious womanspreading on her solo ottoman seating, but didn’t think much of it beyond the redhead taking up all the real estate she could. In comparison, relatively speaking, the other three didn’t have a ton of space to spread out, but weren’t quite sardines, on the standard-sized three seat couch.

Faith’s legs slowly drifted further apart as Faith blew on the dice and rolled. Her feet stayed on the floor, as her knees got almost as far apart as possible, showing her thighs and stockings all the way up to her exposed skin and garter straps. In front of her, the skirt had pulled up to be just barely draped over her pelvis, resting a couple inches back from the edge of the ottoman with her panties a hair breadth away from being seen.

Before any grand unveiling could take place, Faith saw what she rolled and jumped out of her seat with a tiny scream. She was none the wiser at what just transpired as she paced back and forth. Her skirt flopped back down to normal height with her legs nearly together. Faith squealed, “Snake eyes??!? Come on!”

Sure enough, her dice came up as two ones, and her high heel piece slid forward two spaces onto an orange space.

Mia and Sophie watched the whole thing and were about to ask why she almost did the splits, but once the roll happened and Faith returned to a normal stance, they didn’t pay it much mind. Just Faith being Faith.

Faith was exaggerating her anger over the low roll by pacing and fuming. Yeah, two was low, but it was doubles again! She could win this turn if she got lucky enough! With almost a hundred spaces between her and the end, Faith didn’t really think it was feasible, BUT it was technically possible!

Lucy was inspecting each card carefully. She leaned in really close, mumbling to herself about gravity and pirate booty. Her petite frame loomed over the coffee table as Faith continued her faux-rage charade.

This was a poor decision for Lucy’s heart.

P’TIING!

Three orange challenge cards popped out of the board, the trio jumped a bit while Lucy nearly had another heart attack. She flopped onto her back on the seat of the couch, leaning way back and giggling with the thrill of the surprise.

“I should’ve been ready for that!” said Lucy, theatrically holding her chest and putting the back of her other hand to her forehead like she was a fainting woman in an old time-y movie.

Everyone, including Mia, giggled. Mia was laughing more at Lucy’s misfortune, while the others were laughing with her.

All four of them felt a sense of relief as the game was becoming fun again. The sense of dread of the past few minutes made way for levity and joy.

Lucy’s train of thought over the cards was interrupted, at least for now, as she sat up and awaited Faith’s card choice.

The three options were “Saddle Up!+”, “Off the Top Rope”, and “Around the House in Under Eighty Seconds”.

Which challenge does Faith choose?
