FINISH HER DRINK

Lyssa closed her eyes, forcing down a few gulps of the terrible drink she had mixed. It **** another coughing fit out of her, but she didn't make a mess like before, so she considered it a victory. The warm, buzzing feeling of the **** hit her almost immediately, and she felt her muscles relax and her nerves ease as the drink worked its way through her body.

She took another drink, this one having little issue going down. She was getting used to it. It would probably be a good idea to just grab one of the canned ciders or something if she wanted another drink after this one though, she thought.

The energy and the noise of the party flowed around her as she slowly downed the rest of her drink, marvelling at how much more relaxed she felt. The idea of embarrassing herself had entirely left her mind and was replaced by the earnest desire to let loose and have some fun. She was going to enjoy this party, no matter what!

No sooner had the thought crossed her mind when she felt a hand on her shoulder.
