Explore the small village

As you walk out the tavern and get adjusted to the sun you get to look at the small but busy village illuminated in the morning light. People walking up and down the cobbled road attending various jobs and errands. You see a father with his son both walking down the road carrying bags full of grain on their shoulders, presumably farmers selling their harvest for a couple of shillings. On the steps of a little boutique an elderly man is sitting in the shadow smoking on a pipe filled with leaves. He seems to be looking at you curiously but at the same time rather unbothered. The village follows the cobbled road with various houses, workshops and what looks to be a smith

With your belly heavily filled with the hearty porridge you take few steps from tavern as you ponder where you should go next. On one side the road stops as it leads into a little forest where you know a river is passing, as you crossed it to get the village yesterday. Could be nice to wash yourself in the riverbanks. The other other side of road looks to lead a bit out of the city. You're don't know where it leads but it could be worth exploring further. On the other hand it would also be nice to maybe find someone in the city who could sew together you cloak as well as buying some provisions for the journey back to Tren.

Before you make your decision a couple of younger looking men with tools hurled over their shoulder walks past you. You hear them talk about the tavern having some sort of an event later this evening. Could be a way to pass the time you think to yourself.
