Eva's Initial Success

Eva started her attempts at debunking at the pubs and dingy clubs of London. Her first several attempts had been successful. She's revealed a supposed psychic was employing a plant in the audience, and utterly crushed a stage magician's cheap and obvious trickery. Inspired by successes, she decided to move to a more public and elite target. Eva heard the magician Corwin Duskfell was going to preforming at a salon thrown by some of the aristocrats in the city, and decided to crash the party.

So that afternoon Eva was entering The Northfork Estate. Off her rather famous family name, she was able to get in uninvited. As she entered the ballroom, crowded with suit clad gentlemen and gown wearing ladies. Eva walked through the crowd with purpose, until she saw Corwin.

The magician had a crowd around him, watching eagerly. Eva saw him waving around two thin metal rings and smirked.

"And as you see, these solid metal rings are fully separate." to demonstrate he held them wide apart. "But, with a simple phrase... simul in unum!"

With that he hit the rings together dramatically, and they instantly interlocked. The crowd clapped and murmured with appreciation.

"Ah, Chinese linking rings." Eva said loudly. "A classic trip, preformed by hiding the gap in the rings until you slide them together. The Latin was a nice touch though."

The crowd parted, surprised as Eva approached the magician. He raised an eyebrow, clearly irritated by Eva trying to spoil his act, but too professional to show his annoyance...
