Epilogue: Melanie Jones - Naked and Proud

Melanie stretched out on the lilo she was floating on and closed her eyes. She was one of the "Look, don't touch" girls in the community and she was aware of a group of young men enjoying her full frontally naked body now as she lay on her back to work on her all over tan. It didn't really bother her getting stared at anymore, as long as it was done respectfully, but sometimes she preferred to keep her eyes and forget she was on display.

She was in a reflective mood, and began to think back to the fateful day when she had decided to sign up for a strange application she found on her phone that she thought might get her out of the rut she had found herself in. It had done a lot more than that. In fact, even though she had long known that Naked Ambition had been a front for a large scale scam, it had actually helped her accomplish everything it promised her it could, however inadvertently.

She had felt a sense of boredom and lack of purpose i n her life. Since then she had been at the forefront of a movement that had, if not quite taken down, at least forced an evil organisation into a palatable compromise. She had moved to a new country, made a ton of exciting new friends, fallen in love and got married to someone who made her feel things that John, as lovely as he was, never could.

She had taken up writing and was currently putting the finishing touches on a book on body confidence, which she felt she was well qualified to write having gone from a shy and somewhat prudish young woman to a fully fledged nudist, however unintentionally. The publisher had insisted on featuring her as the star of her work and had pushed for the title- Melanie Jones: Naked and Proud!. A professional photographer had taken a series of photos of her, all very natural but also entirely revealing. There was no part of her body that wasn't on display. She had been a little taken aback when she had seen a mocked up copy; The pictures were so big! She looked like a proper model though, so it was exciting as it was daunting for her. She knew there would be guys buying the book and using the pictures for purposes she didn't want to think about. But she also hoped that it might inspire other young women who felt like she used to and help them realise just how liberating and empowering getting naked could be.

Mel had never had a choice in the matter, of course. Back then, if she had known the app would make her clothes vanish and force her to be nude in public there was no chance at all she would have signed up. In the early days when she was trying to earn her clothes back with her friends and kind of having fun doing it, she would have been horrified to know they were gone forever. But now she had been naked, and surrounded by other nude women, for so long that the idea of wearing clothes actually felt quite odd to her.

As bizarre as it would sound if she were to ever say it out loud, it almost felt like the universe had wanted Melanie to be naked, that this was her natural state somehow. All the other girls talked about Mel as if she was the centre of everything, the link that had brought the entire community together. She never saw it that way, but she was relieved that she hadn't gone through this alone and that the people she felt personally responsible for getting dragged into this - Anna, Sophie, Lucy, Laura and Liv - all seemed as happy as she did with how things had turned out.

"Hey, you asleep already?"

Melanie opened her eyes and looked up at Lexie who was grinning mischievously at her. She then looked down to see that her wife had found her book and had it open on a two spread page shot of Melanie lying naked on her back. It was barely any different to the view Lexie had in real life but it caused Mel to blush a little nonetheless.

"Is this my copy? Can you sign it for me?"

"You weren't supposed to see that yet, it's not finished" Melanie complained.

"It looks pretty fuckin' good to me, already" Lexie smiled "Anyway, I don't want to disturb your beauty sleep. I'm going to take myself somewhere private and enjoy your book properly!"

Melanie shut her eyes again and smiled at that thought. Her wife was no better than the horny adolescent males she imagined buying her book for totally the wrong reasons, but in all honestly she would have been disappointed if it hadn't made her horny.

Her relationship felt perfect. Everything felt perfect right now. Maybe things wouldn't always be that way, but she felt what she had been through to get to where she was now had prepared her for any adversity that might follow. Being naked and happy was an ambition Melanie had never even known she had, and yet, she felt sure she had achieved it in full.
