Chapter 724 by Fantasy Fantasy

What's next?

End of the first date.

After another very fun and satisfying hour or so and some 20 extra minutes of sweet, unimportant pillow talk, Fern and I took a shower and left the hotel. We got in the van and I began to drive her to her house.

We were quiet for the most part, but you couldn’t have erased the smile off her face unless you came to her with awful news. Fern was giddy, glancing contemplatively out the window except for the times she turned to look at me. I sent a thought towards Frey not to let me in her thoughts, as I didn’t want to invade her privacy, but I could still tell she was immensely happy.

I was too, for that matter. Fern is an amazing girl, and it’s hard to believe she’s also my girlfriend now. The sex was really good and I was mostly satisfied despite it only being about two hours. No, that sounds bad. I WAS satisfied, but I was still in a sort of… steamy mood. I would glance her way every other moment and… Well, seeing her glowing, seeing her sexy figure… It made me want to touch her more. Maybe it’s because being with her is such a new and exciting experience.

Still, the day had to end, even if we didn’t want it to. We reached her house, I parked close and Fern took off her seat belt.

“So… This is it?” she asked, giggling.

“For today,” I clarified.

“For today,” she repeated. “Um… Thank you. For everything, I mean. For being patient with me, for standing up for me, for the incredible day… and for fucking my brains out.”

I snickered. “I’m willing to do all of that again anytime.”

We laughed, staring at each other as it died down. I reached out my hand and cupped her cheek. Fern leaned in and we shared yet another kiss, slow and deep. By now she had already gotten used to them and was enjoying them fully instead of thinking of her every move.

I couldn’t help myself. I sensed the mood was right, felt Fern in a playful mood still, and decided to move my hand from her cheek to her boob, groping it and pinching her nipple.

“Oh!” Fern yelped and giggled, grinning against my lips. “Come on! Don’t do that or I’ll want it again…”

“One last squeeze for the road,” I said, smiling sheepishly.

Fern swallowed, glanced towards her house and bit her lip. “Um… My dad’s car isn’t there. They must be out. Do you… want to come in?”

“I’d love to, but I’d rather Mr. Carlos not catch me with my hands all over his daughter. I’d never be able to see the man in the eyes again.” I chuckled. “Also, I promised the girls I’d buy hamburgers for dinner.”

Fern chuckled, too. “You know what? Yeah. I think I’d die if my dad found us doing… stuff.”

“Hey… Text me if you want, okay? I’m a bit slow to answer, but don’t think it’s not okay to do it,” I told her.

Fern sighed in relief and smiled. “Alright. That’s good to know. Again, Oliver, thank you for everything.”

“And you.”

She shared one last quick peck before Fern got out of the van. I watched her go into her house before I drove off. I sent the group chat a text saying I was on my way back and stopped by a drive-through to buy the food.

Heh. I remember the one time mom and I used a drive-through, she told me to make the order but I couldn’t do it. Too anxious to even talk to the person behind the speaker, too afraid to mess up the order. I could do it now. I could order food in a drive-through.

I drove back home for another 30 minutes, making me realize that the food was likely cold already and that buying take-out probably wasn’t the best idea for us because of it. I stopped by the store that was closer to our house and bought some chocolates, too. It was mainly for Noelle, since I was told she was the one craving them, but I know my girls and at least a few of them are gonna want chocolates when they see Noelle eating them.

I got home, opened the automatic gate, parked in the garage behind Sarah’s SUV, grabbed the bags and went into the house through the front door. And while I’m really happy to be living with my girlfriends now, even though I’m only just getting used to it, I can’t tell you how happy it made me that the one to run to greet me at the door was Cake.

I left the bags on the floor and kneeled down to pet her, but she instead jumped into my arms, meowing loudly. Call me crazy, but I think she was yelling at me for being gone almost all day.

“Sorry, sorry,” I told her, hugging her and stroking her back as she rubbed the top of her head against my cheek. “I guess leaving when you’re also getting used to the new space wasn’t nice of me, huh?”

I then heard another set of quick, tiny steps. I looked in front of me and saw a dog coming towards us. His eyes… locked on the paper bags I’d left on the floor.

“Red, stay!” Diana’s voice rang out, and her German Shepherd stopped and sat down. She and Sarah were coming over, too.

“You should’ve called when you were close,” Sarah said. “We would’ve helped you with the bags.”

“It’s fine.”

Sarah grabbed most of the things while Diana got the plastic bag with chocolates. I stood up with Cake still in my arms and went over to Red to pet his head. The dog leaned into it, panting.

“How are they getting along?” I asked Diana.

“They’re already good friends,” she said, looking down at her boy. “They played for about an hour in the backyard, then had a long nap together.”

I eyed my cat, eyes narrowed. “Oh, so you were having fun all day and are just yelling at me for the sake of it, huh? That’s nice…”

Cake just purred and rubbed herself against me. Isabelle and mom taught her it worked, after all.
