Emily

As the family gets ready for the beach, Emily, eager to swim, hurries to put her swimsuit on and get in the water as fast as she can. As she runs across the hot sands to the water, she notes a volleyball net, a lifeguard hut, and the nearby amusement park on the pier. However, as she really wants to go for a quick swim, Emily runs at the water at full speed. In her rush, she failed to notice a small object in her path, and trips.

Looking at what tripped her, she is surprised. It is a glimmering emerald and gold necklace. Emily, feeling a strange compulsion to pick it up, does so.
