Eavesdropper

About a hundred meters away, hidden up in the canopy, sat a figure. A thin woman with long, violet hair was watching the scene unfold. The cat mask she dawned, along with her uniform and signature tattoo, denoted her as a member Konoha's Anbu. Her mind was racing as she tried to process what she had just witnessed. She had recognized both of the girls as the Hokage's apprentices but if what she had just saw and heard was to be believed, somehow the Nine-Tailed Fox found a way to escape from Naruto and had possessed the pink haired girl- and was making plans to do something similar to the blonde one. This is bad! I have to inform Lady Hokage at once!- Wait...where'd she go? In the blink of an eye, the pinkette had vanished. The Anbu went on high alert, scolding herself for losing track of such a dangerous target. Suddenly, she felt something grab ahold of her ankle and fling her out of her hiding spot. She landed hard as she tumbled across the ground. As quick as she could, she recovered into a more defensive posture. She was met with the sight of the pink haired girl looming over her, looking mildly irritated.

"It's rude to eavesdrop," she said bluntly.

The Anbu leapt back, both to give herself more distance, but to also position herself between her opponent and the **** blonde. She drew her blade and readied for a fight. The kitsune didn't seem threatened in the slightest.

"Now, what to do with you..." she playfully wondered aloud as she slinked towards her prey.

"Kyuubi," the Anbu shouted, getting the enthralled girl to stop advancing momentarily. "How did you escape your seal?"

"Heh, I'm not the Kyuubi," the transformed girl chuckled. "You don't have to worry about him escaping, the seal on Naruto is still holding."

Though hidden by her mask, the Anbu's eyes narrowed with suspicion.

"Do you really expect me to believe anything you-" the Anbu cut herself off with a gasp. Her whole body froze with tension. After several seconds, she relaxed and came out of her stance and nonchalantly sheathed her sword before removing her mask, revealing a strikingly pretty face. She smirked at Sakura as she placed her hands on her hips. "I was worried she wasn't going to hold still long enough for me to do that."

Sakura blinked in surprise before it clicked for her.

"Ino?"

The Anbu bowed.

"Of course it's me, Forehead," Ino playfully chided.

Sakura couldn't help but snort that even after the mental rewriting, Ino was still not above name calling.

"That's 'Mistress' to you."

"Alright, Mistress Forehead."

Sakura rolled her eyes.

"And here I thought you'd be grateful for me adding you to the family," she retorted.

"Oh, I am grateful," Ino answered with sincerity. "You opened my eyes. I've never felt this good before, just knowing that I can't resist you, or our Master- that I must serve you and him- it all just feels right. And taking over this Anbu girl so you can do what you want to her. It's a rush I've never felt before. Is this how good it feels to be a kitsune?"

"Better"

"Well then, I can't wait for Naruto to come home."

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves," Sakura commented as she looked the Anbu over. "This is quite the catch."

"So, what should we do now?"

"I'm going to mark her; can't afford to have anyone finding out about us. And having an Anbu in the family certainly will have its advantages."

Sakura approached and the possessed Anbu and Ino tilted her head to the side, offering her neck to Sakura.

"Consider yourself lucky, Ino. You get to experience the joy being marked a second time, even if through another person's body."

The kitsune bit down.

The Anbu stirred. She glanced around and saw Sakura, who had reverted back to her normal form, and Ino standing over her. Wait-how did she know their names?

"So, who are you, dear?" Sakura asked, interrupting the Anbu's thoughts.

"I am Yugao Uzuki, I am Anbu agent for Konoha." she answered.

She didn't feel the least bit alarmed answering the woman who she had just been about to fight moments ago.

"But?" prodded Sakura.

Yugao's brow furrowed as she tried to focus. She was Anbu but now there was something else about her that she was supposed to remember, she needed to remember...Her eyes widened in realization.

"But now I am a vixen, a humble servant of the Kyuubi," she answered with pride.

"Good, girl. Now, I'm assuming since no one else interfered with us once we captured you, you were alone. Is that correct?"

"Yes, I was just patrolling by myself when I came across the two of you."

"Have you sent any word back?"

"No. No one should be aware of what just happened here but us."

"Good, no one else should know. Naruto's house will be our base of operations for the moment."

"Of course mistress," the vixens spoke in unison.

"Yugao, return to your duties as an Anbu for now, make sure no one learns what happened here or discovers our family."

"Yes, Mistress."

"Ino,"

"Yes?"

"Come with me, there's someone I want us to go see."
