Earn the fairies favor

At this moment the faeries spotted them. The flying tiny creatures darted forward, causing Lauren to flinch back. The fairies flew around them giggling and pointed, their laughter high-pitched and mocking. After curiously investigating the fully nude Sir Lennis and Elara, they settled on Lauren with excitement.

"Look at the human girl," one said, her voice like the sound of wind chimes. "She tries to be a woman, but she has the body of a child!"

The fairies giggled. Lauren blushed and cringed, clutching her naked body in greater shame. Elara rolled her eyes, but Lauren felt the sting of their words.

"Why do you bother with such trivialities?" Elara snapped. "We are on a quest to save your realm!"

The fairies looked at her, their expressions unchanged.

"We do not help those who cannot help themselves," the leader said, a cruel smile playing on her lips. "Perhaps if you had something more to offer..."

"We need their aid." Sir Lennis said. "We are lost and unarmed in these woods."

He turned on Lauren, who felt her knees weaken as his piercing blue eyes locked

"If you earn their favor, they will help us." He said.

"Me?!" Lauren squealed. "You do it!"

"They've taken note of you." Sir Lennis pointed out.

The fairies exchanged glances, and then the one spoke.

"We will help you on your quest," she said, her voice sweet as honey. "If you can pass our test."

Her heart racing, Lauren agreed with great ****.

"Fine." Lauren said. "What is your test?"
