Chapter 8 by Zingiber Zingiber

Do you quickly apologize or try to draw things out?

Draw it out.

Looking at the most crush-worthy babe of a teacher with your drink dripping off her blouse, you drop all thoughts of getting right back to Kat, and try to save face however you can. Setting the remains of the drinks on the floor, you offer her your handkerchief and an apology, and try not to look her in the chest.

"Is there anything I can do?" you ask.

"Thank you," she says, looking up at you with that same little smile. "I see you must be a blocker rather than a ball carrier." She laughs a little and blots at the front of her clingy blouse. Your eyes follow her fingers as she pats at her breasts. "Basic black, like all good artists," she says. "So no harm done. Here's your handkerchief back." She hands it back at waist level, but manages to miss your hand and press it into your crotch. She touches you firmly enough to confirm your willy is as stiff as a post, and to make a little damp spot in the front of your pants. "Oops, clumsy of me!" she says. "Good thing you're wearing black too."

"Um..." you fumble for words. Your heart is beating fast, and your face feels hot.

"No, don't worry about it," she says. "You must have been getting drinks for your date. Who are you with tonight?" She puts a hand on your wrist and continues in a teasing voice, "Head cheerleader?"

"N-no, I'm with Katherine..." Maybe if you can get away, you can save your plans for later tonight with Katherine.

"No really?" she says. "She's my favorite student. And you must be the fellow she's been telling me about all term. I must say you're every inch the hunk she described. I promised Katherine that if I could, I'd help get you together, and I'm glad my advice worked. Come on, let's get her a fresh drink," she says, patting your hip, "but for bashing into me, you owe me a dance. Someone needs to teach you some co-ordination before you walk all over Katherine's feet."

She leads you back through the drink line, taking a lime seltzer for herself, and walks you back toward Katherine and her friends. She smiles and waves at Kat. Kat returns the media teacher's smile, and tilts her head questioningly at you.

Before you can open your mouth, the teacher says, "Don't worry, Katherine. Your football player nearly knocked me over, so he owes me a dance. And I think he owes you something for being late with your drink."

Is Kat happy with the teacher's flirtatious assistance?
