Chapter 787 by Exarch-of-Sechrima Exarch-of-Sechrima

And that's why we love her too

Don't know how long it's gonna take to feel okay, but I know I had the best day with you today

Holly returned to the Master’s Suite with a smile on her face and a skip in her step. Her heart was soaring and her cheeks were flushed. Even though she and Nick had already parted ways she still felt floaty inside, as if he were still showering her with affection and praise.

“Ehehe… hehe…” Holly cradled her rosy cheeks and giggled as she kept replaying the scenes over and over again in her mind. Nick telling her he loved her, saying that he always wanted to be with her, all those wonderful things that made her wish that the date never had to end.

She was so lost in her own thoughts that she almost bumped right into the anxious redhead waiting for her at the door.

“Holly!” Mary’s cry snapped the ponytailed girl out of her delirium. Her green eyes were wide with concern. “How did your date go?! Did you have fun? Did Nick show you a good time?”

That floaty feeling was gone; it had been replaced by an amused smirk in Holly’s breast that quickly crept its way onto her face.

“Yes, mom, I had a lot of fun on my date,” she said sarcastically. “Don’t worry- he was a perfect gentleman.”

Mary didn’t appreciate the sarcasm. “I was just worried,” she said, her shoulders slumping as she let relief take over her body. “Holly, the two of you have always had such a complicated relationship… I was concerned, okay?”

Holly relaxed, and a genuine smile returned to her face. “I know- I appreciate that, Mary, really, I do.” She took her friend’s hand and gave it a squeeze. “Nick and I, we have a lot of stuff to work out together. But… I think we’re going to be okay. So don’t worry, I’m not going to ruin it by overwhelming him with perversion. Even I know when to shift gears and just have a nice day out with someone I care about.”

She didn’t think Mary was wrong to be concerned. Holly knew how she came across most of the time. And most of the time, it was intentional; a defense mechanism, as she’d come to discover about herself. But… now she didn’t have to worry.

Holly could still be herself, and Nick would love her. She didn’t have to be just the sex gremlin. She could show her sensitive side with just as much sincerity as her perverted side. And it would all be fine.

“I’m so relieved,” Mary said, placing her hand over her chest and letting out the tension she’d been holding. “When you two planned to go watch a movie together, in the back of my mind I was worrying that you’d end up trying to escalate things in the movie theater and try to get into his pants, which would just things awkward between the two of you…”

Holly flinched. “Of-of course we wouldn’t do something like that in a movie theater!” She said, her face getting hot. “Like I said, even I know what’s okay and what’s not! And sucking Nick’s cock in the theater? Not even a possibility of that happening, not in a movie theater!”

Mary stared at her friend. Holly had emphasized “movie theater” a suspicious number of times. But she didn’t push the issue and just smiled.

“…As long as you’re happy,” she said tenderly, nodding her head. “As long as the two of you are happy together, that’s enough for me.”

Holly frowned. “Well… it shouldn’t be!” She stated. “Mary, you’re his wife!”

“Eh?” Mary blinked. “Well, yes, but what are you-”

“As his wife, you shouldn’t be satisfied with just our happiness!” Holly asserted. “You gotta start thinking about yourself more, too!” She poked her friend in the chest, making Mary’s boobs wobble. “I know you have your own night with him, but you’re his wife! You can push for even more, and it wouldn’t be selfish at all!”

“I, I… I would never do that!” Mary shook her head frantically. With how nice everyone was, they’d probably be bending over backwards to accommodate her, with a couple very obvious exceptions.

Rose’s sneering face flashed through her mind.

“…If I push for more, um… then the others would have less time with him, so…” Mary’s face was a brighter red than her hair, and her freckles were almost invisible. She played with her pigtails as she fidgeted in her cowboy boots, weighing her own desires against those of Nick.

As usual, Nick’s desires ran out.

But Holly had learned a thing or two on her date today, and she wasn’t going to let her friend keep making the same mistakes she had been making for weeks. And unlike Holly, Mary wasn’t even getting off on it!

“You only get one night with him,” Holly pointed out. “It may be the first night of the round, but it’s always after a challenge! You can’t spend the day out together or anything like that!”

Mary gasped. “Y-you’re right!” Her eyes widened. “I didn’t even realize that!” She’d been so content living in wedded bliss with her husband and cooking for him every morning and every night, she hadn’t noticed that those seemed to be the only times she got to see him these days.

Seeing that she’d gotten her hooks in, Holly pressed. “Take a look at that feast!” She declared, turning and pointing to the table stacked high with food. A veritable buffet crammed onto the dining room table.

Mary turned red with shame.

“All that food, gone to waste, because your husband’s out cavorting with another woman!” Holly pointed out. “Already the girls are starting to take away cooking breakfast, and dinner, too, but heck- when was the last time you made him lunch?”

She was right, she was totally right, except…

“W-well, actually, I cooked that for you,” Mary mumbled sheepishly, hanging her head. “You know… to cheer you up, in case your date didn’t go well…”

Holly lowered her hand. “…Oh.”

Well gosh, wasn’t that sweet of her?

…Still!

“…But that’s just my point, you shouldn’t be pulling out the stops for me!” She protested. “Don’t you want to go on another romantic picnic with him, Mary? Or go out and see a movie yourself?”

“B-but we can watch any movies we want right here at home…” Mary pointed out timidly, gesturing to the gold-plated TV.

Holly’s eye twitched. She just wasn’t getting it.

“You’re adorable, Mary!” She felt like flipping over the table, but she refrained, not wanting to ruin all that food. “And you’re sweet! And sexy! Nick should be treating you like a princess, not taking you for granted! So next time you get the chance, you’re going to get him to take you on a real date! Do something YOU want to do!”

Mary just fidgeted, not sure what to say. Going for a “real” date with would be lovely, but she just didn’t see the need-

“MARY!”

“Okay, okay, sheesh!” Mary groaned. “I’ll go out with him sometime!”

Not good enough. “No, not ‘sometime’!” Holly snapped. If she let Mary off the hook with that, her friend would keep procrastinating and that “sometime” would never come. “When he gets back home tonight, you’re gonna tell him that the next time he’s free, you want him to take you somewhere special, and treat you like the mother of his child deserves to be treated! Got it?!”

“R-right.”

“What kind of wimpy respon-? Where’s your fire, Mary!? Come on!” Holly gave her friend a good shaking. “Nick’s not treating you right! …Well, he is, but he could be treating you even better than that! You gotta be convincing!’

“Okay, okay!” Mary wailed. “I’ll be convincing!”

“Great! Get mad! Show him that you’re not one to be taken lightly!” Holly encouraged, glad that Mary was finally seeing sense. “Show him your angry face so he has to take you seriously!”

“Ah, r-right, my angry face! Like… like this?”

Holly pressed her lips together in a line so thin they almost disappeared. Her eyes glazed over as she watched Mary try to struggle to look angry.

If you get her mad she’s an absolute nightmare… and yet when she tries to look upset when she isn’t, it’s just so sad.

The growling face on her friend reminded Holly of a little Chihuahua trying to imitate a Rottweiler. She sighed and scratched her head.

“…We’ll work on it,” Holly said finally, determined to get Mary some of her edge back. They had all afternoon, after all. I just hope that Nick is enjoying himself on his date with Kim. Because when they get back, he won’t know what hit him!

Sadly, Nick was not enjoying himself on his date. Because his date had not technically started yet.

“That’s weird. Where is she?” Nick looked at the clock on the pole just outside the restaurant he’d agreed to meet up with Kim at. It wasn’t anything fancy- a simple burger place. A McDonald’s, to be specific, or the faerie imitation of one, where they’d gone on their first date.

Nick had suggested they eat somewhere nicer than this (Like maybe a Wendy’s, or even a restaurant that served actual hamburgers) but Kim said she wanted to eat here, and he didn’t want to argue with her.

But it was almost 12:30 now, and they’d agreed to meet at noon. Something was very wrong.

A bad feeling welled up in Nick’s chest. He didn’t know how to describe it, but it was like the rising sensation before a rollercoaster drop. Your body knew something was about to happen, and was preparing you.

Like there was something electric in the air.

The first thing that came to mind was Dakota. He doubted that she’d do anything directly to interfere with their date, but with this much tension in the air, Nick couldn’t think of anyone else who would be responsible other than the host.

“Hah… Kim, what’s taking you so long?” He said aloud, scratching his cheek. The relief Holly had given him was already draining away, and he just wanted to see-

“…Err, sorry… I know I’m a little late…”

Nick jumped as his question was answered before he knew it. Whirling around, he froze in place, stunned by what he saw.

It was Kim, and she looked great like always, even if she was dressed up in only her schoolgirl uniform. But it wasn’t the fact that she was wearing makeup for once that caught his eye, or even the awkward expression on her face as she tried to remain casual in spite of the redness of her cheeks and shiftiness in her eyes.

No, it was very obvious what had caught Nick’s attention.

“K-Kim, you… uh…” Nick stammered, trying to process what he was looking at. Kim’s breasts weren’t obscenely massive, but they were definitely a lot bigger than the handfuls she normally had! Immediately his mind flashed back to their date last round, and her temporary transformation that had slowly made her breasts grow over the course of the date.

“What? I… I don’t look weird, do I?” She asked hesitantly. The blush on her cheeks deepened and she slowly lifted her arms to cover herself before stopping halfway. “I mean… I don’t… I’m not…”

Her voice caught in her throat and she looked anxiously at Nick, not sure what to say.

He didn’t know what to say, either.

But at the seconds of awkwardness drew on, it was clear that one of them would have to say something or this date would be dead in the water before it could even start.

“…I didn’t have any clothes that would fit!” Kim loudly exclaimed, startling him.

“H-huh?!” Nick jerked out of his stupor, and his mouth dropped open like a drooling moron. But at least she’d gotten his attention well enough where he was looking her in the eye now.

Kim sighed and scratched her head. “Look… I know they’re… bigger. It’s a long story. But that’s why I was so late. Second I got off work I rushed back to my room and tried to put my clothes on, but, well…”

She gestured emphatically to her chest.

Unlike in Dream Alley, Kim’s wardrobe had not expanded to accommodate her new assets. In Dream Alley she’d used Sick Day to spare herself the usual restrictions of her transformations, but this time she was stuck with what she had. And since Dakota was certainly in no mood to do her any favors, that meant she basically had to go with just her schoolgirl uniforms, and try to make her breasts fit in them.

She’d gone through her entire closet before finding one bulky enough that could actually contain her enhanced mammaries, and even then it wasn’t exactly comfortable. No way could she have managed to fit them into her red dress, either, and the “Sexy CEO” costume she’d won would have just been obscene.

“I had to borrow one of Gina’s bras,” she added, in case Nick thought that she’d gone out with nothing on. She wasn’t some exhibitionist! “But since Gina forgot to do her laundry again, I had to do it myself, and so… I’m late. Sorry…”

She looked down sadly. “I really wanted today to get off to a good start… are you mad?”

It was a silly question to ask, of course Nick wouldn’t be mad about a little thing like this. But after the morning Kim had already had, she was just exhausted.

“Come on, Kim, you know I wouldn’t be mad about something like this,” Nick assured her with a laugh. He was completely in the dark about how badly Kim had messed up a couple hours ago, which should have come as a relief to the tomboy but definitely didn’t.

She wanted it to, though. “Really?” She asked, looking hopefully up at him. “You’re really not? I made you wait almost a half-hour…” Kim hated getting to work late and getting docked pay; she always aimed to be punctual. And because of that, she actually HAD been tempted to go without a bra just this once, just to make it on time.

But maybe she’d been looking for an excuse to put off meeting up with Nick just a little longer, so she could put off having to make a decision about what she’d learned today. A thought that left her feeling even more unsettled than before.

Luckily, she was in love with a guy who was so totally cool about stuff like that, and his disarming smile eased any worries she might have had.

“Come on, you think I’m gonna be upset? Trust me, any guy would be happy to trade waiting an extra half-hour if his date showed up with huge boobs like that,” Nick said, trying to joke with her in order to turn her mood around.

An awkward laugh erupted from Kim’s lips and she stared incredulously at him. “You… oh, come on!” She snorted, rolling her eyes. “That’s just too much!”

Nick grinned. “You think so? I thought it was pretty good,” he said. “But don’t get me wrong, though, you don’t need big boobs for me to like you,” he assured her. “I’m actually looking forward to the two of us having a date sometime without you stuffing a couple watermelons in your shirt.”

“Hah! You’re incorrigible!” Kim playfully huffed, lightly swatting him in the arm. “You had your chance last night, buster, remember? And I remember you getting a niiiiiicee and long feel of ‘em, so don’t pretend like you were missing out.”

“Nope, definitely not,” Nick agreed, shaking his head. “Last night was one of my favorite memories of you, getting all sweaty and wiped out.”

Kim pouted, her cheeks reddening. It was strange… joking around with Nick like this, hearing him tell her that she didn’t have to worry about the sudden change to her body brought on by Vivian… it made her feel so much better.

What had she been so anxious about?

I still have to tell him about Sylvia and Dakota… don’t I? That was the one nagging thought in the back of Kim’s mind that was keeping her from just enjoying this day for what it was. Vivian had made her realize how reckless she had been before, and she understood where the heiress was coming from, but she still knew she needed to help somehow.

For now, though… was it so wrong of her to enjoy her date with Nick?

Unfortunately, Nick was too curious of a guy to accept his good fortune without inquiring deeper.

“So how did this happen?” He asked as they walked into the restaurant. “Is it some of the candy from your room, or something?”

“Eh? Uh…” Kim’s eyes widened in surprise. Dang it! How had she forgotten? That would have been the perfect excuse! But no, it would have been a lie, and that look of honest curiosity on Nick’s face… uugh, it was pulling all the right heartstrings for heeeerrr.

Kim sighed. “It… it’s a long story,” she said sullenly. “And… a really embarrassing one, too. Can you just not ask, please?”

Nick was surprised to hear that. Kim was normally so open, so for her to say something like that…

There had to be more going on, he could sense it. But he didn’t press the issue. If it was something he needed to worry about, she would have told him, so he could trust that Kim’s newly-enhanced figure wasn’t something he needed to be concerned about.

He still was, but he kept his cool.

“Okay then,” he agreed with a nod. “If that’s what you want. I won’t ask. But I guess we’ll have some trouble working out today with those!” He joked, again trying to lighten the mood.

Kim cracked a grin. “Yeah, guess so. Talk about inconvenient,” she agreed. “I’m gonna hold you to your promise yesterday, though! No slacking! Even if I’m suddenly carrying a lot more weight up top than I’m used to!”

Nick held up his hand and crossed his heart. “Swear it. You can trust me not to pry, you can trust me with this much, right?”

Kim beamed at him. She sure could.

Yeah- maybe she could have thrown Vivian under the bus here. It was what the heiress deserved! But Nick wasn’t bothered by it as far as she could tell, and Vivian’s motives HAD been to spare Kim from an even worse potential fate.

So as inconvenient as her new breasts may have been, Kim could live with them for now, she didn’t have to ruin things between Nick and Vivian any more than Vivian herself had already done.

Instead, Kim would just have to find a way to repay Vivian for her generosity herself. It was the least she could do to thank the heiress for helping her out like this…

Nick felt an ominous aura coming from Kim, and he shivered. But he figured it was probably nothing and didn’t let himself get concerned about it. They had a date to focus on, after all, and they could finally get started!

Whelp, poor Vivian
