Later that night, Peggy awoke to find herself in a hospital bed. She noticed that she was dressed in a hospital gown and that her boss was in the room. Dooley was telling her how everything was good now. The SSR had captured Mr. Smith earlier that day and had then gone on to rescue all the cult members including Peggy. He was sorry that Peggy had to go through so much misery but then she was never meant to be an undercover agent. She was meant to be a distraction, designed to attract the attention of Mr. Smith and his associates while Dooley and his agents carried out a raid.

"So it's all over then," said Peggy. "Good. I hope some day that I can look back on all this and just consider it a bad dream."

"It's funny that you put it that way," said Dooley. "You see, this is the dream. You're still in the cult."
