Where Do Things Go From Here?

Dinosaur Ladies and Surprises

After what felt like hours of hiking through the jungle, with no biting insects for some reason, the three were brought to what looked like Mesoamerican ruins, mostly resembling the Olmecs. They were brought in to see what looked like a voluptuous humanoid chasmosaur woman with dark blue skin and dirty white horns in her own micro-bikini with a translucent silk blue bathrobe covered in golden arcane symbols poring over a small collection of texts.

The sauropod woman leaned in and whispered something to the ceratopsian woman, who then promptly halted her studying and practically rushed over to examine Jonah. Her height of 7’ 8” inches clear against Jonah’s 5’ 9” frame. The twins were just a hair shorter than him at 5’ 7” and they all just got led to this place by a dinosaur woman.

“Yes, the build seems to mostly line up with what I’ve read about humans,” the chasmosaur woman said excitedly, “but that opens up the question as to how a human male ended up here with so little in the way of protection.”

“We were just getting ready to go out to the bar after work when some weird **** locked us in place and a strange light surrounding us then the next thing we knew we were waking up on the beach you found us on,” said Marsha.

“Physically changed from what we were like before the whole incident,” said Jonah, “the three of us weren’t anywhere near this sexy looking.”

“Not that we mind all that much,” said Trisha, “where we came from figures like this are considered enviable.”

“What color was the light,” inquire the ceratopsian woman as she continued to look Jonah over.

“Aquamarine,” said Jonah with confusion, “what is the significance of that?”

“That’s the color for the goddess of the seas, Aquaria,” said the ceratopsian woman, “it’s said all her magic is that color. The fact you don’t know that means you’re not all too familiar with religious studies for one reason or another, but everyone in this world knows who she is.”

“Could that mean they aren’t from our world,” inquired the sauropod woman.

“Possibly,” said the Ceratopsian woman, “but the last recorded case of a Realm Transioner is from over a decade ago, and that figure was,” her eyes zeroed in on the tattoo on Jonah’s waist, an Alpha symbol with the symbols for male and female inside it, “an Alpharian, and he basically restructured the entire area of an out of the place location into a whole new socio-economic structure after his first year here. What was that name again?” She started tapping her head while still looking at Jonah’s tattoo, “the first name sounded surprisingly feminine…” she snapped her finger in sudden realization, “Yuri Althaus, he helped name the town he appeared in something odd but I will probably need another look at the map to recall it.”

“Wasn’t that the name of the kid from a rich family that disappeared without a trace a year or two ago,” Trisha inquired in confusion to her companions, “even the manor he lived in that was out of the way disappeared under mysterious circumstances, there’s a hole in the shape of its foundation where it used to be.”

“Someone like that is here? That’s surprising,” said Marsha.

“Yep, raising his family with all his wives,” said the sauropod woman.

“Wives? Plural, more than one,” inquired Jonah in surprise.

“Yep, 9 primary wives and dozens of secondary wives,” said the ceratopsian woman.

“That’s fascinating and all,” said Jonah, “but you, ma’am, haven’t taken the time to properly introduce yourselves, and we went through the effort of introducing ourselves when we got brought here.”

“Forgive my manners,” said the ceratopsian woman, “I am Molsalkisa, and you already properly introduced yourselves to Ulnarka when she brought you here.” She turned her attention to Jonah’s face, “Now as for you, Jonah, was it? It would appear you are an Alpharian as well, they’re quite rare, and chances are you were the subject of the summoning by the sea goddess and your associates were just caught up in the effect of the summoning. You all probably thought you were ordinary humans, but divine summonings to this world just strip away the shell that allowed you to pass as human in the world you were called from.”

“Then what are we then?” Came the simultaneous voices of the twins.

“Judging by your physical features,” said Ulnarka, “I would say, Dreamborn.”

“The children of mortals and dream spirits,” said Molsalkisa in surprise, “really?”

“They’re nearly indistinguishable from humans,” said Ulnarka, “except for the exotic hair and eye colors. And these two have both.”

“The coral blue eyes are nothing new,” said Jonah, “they’ve had them as long as I’ve known them, it was a bit of shock to see their hair be something that fantastical, neither one really ever dyed their hair, as far as I know.”

“We wanted to, once,” said Marsha, “but our school didn’t allow unnatural hair colors.”

“Although,” said Trisha, “our current hair colors are the colors we eyeballed when we were younger. Then when we got to college we were expected to look ‘professional’ so dying our hair was out of the question then as well.”

“College? I’ve heard of those as being institutes for bards to learn their craft, at least the ones that have the resources for that sort of thing,” said Molsalkisa.

“Where we grew up,” Jonah stated, “there’s a primary school, often referred to as grade school, attending it once you reach a certain age is mandated by law, and your parents or legal guardians can actually get into trouble with the law if you don’t attend, but it’s actually broken up into two parts and the second half is often called Middle School or Junior High. Then there is secondary school, often just called High school, it’s mandatory for you to at least get through this point, most people graduate around the time they become legal adults. So you get to either officially join the workforce or go on to higher education, that is what College is, it is often referred to as university. College is an institution that teaches preparations for a variety of careers, a lot of jobs and careers actually require proof you graduated from college.”

“Sounds like a problematic system,” said Ulnarka.

“Quite a few people in the modern era seem to think so as well,” said Marsha, “but everything is so tied to that system now that we have **** but to live with it. Although, in recent years, trade schools have shown up as preferential, and those are more specialized towards a specific vocation.”

“Now, what’s this Alpharian thing you say Jonah is,” inquired Trisha.

“Alpharians,” Molsalkisa started in a professor-like voice, “are a rare sort of race, the rarest of the rare, actually. They are nearly indistinguishable from humans, aside from the symbol known as the character Alpha with the symbols for male and female within it being on their waist, but it’s believed that really doesn’t show up until they reach a certain point after hitting sexual maturity. They are the only race known to have the ability to control their own fertility rates, and even some aspects of the offspring they sire. The children they sire usually tend to be the same race as the mother of the child. Thanks to Yuri, it was also learned that Alpharians intuitively pick up on the sexual interactions their partner gets enjoyment out of.”

“It’s also rumored,” said Ulnarka, “that they can influence the fertility of their partners.”

“So,” said Jonah, “on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not likely and 10 being you can barely hold yourself back, how much do you want to have sex with me?”

“Seven,” said Marsha and Trisha in unison almost as soon as the question was asked. Jonah and the dinosaur women panned their attention to look at the twins in surprise.

“I suppose that could be an effect of being in close proximity to an Alpharian for an extended period of time,” said Molsalkisa, “and they likely were feeling sexually frustrated before all this.”

“Maybe just a little,” said Marsha, “I’m not sure what prompted it.”

“Same,” said Trisha.

“We have some unused rooms here that have been prepared for the event of more individuals joining us,” said Ulnarka, “I can show you to the rooms. As for me, I’m more of a 4, for now.”

“I’m more of a 3,” said Molsalkisa with amusement before turning back to focus on her research.

“You said that divine summonings basically peel disguises and the like off of the ones summoned,” started Marsha, “but how could that be true for us? Last I checked, the pair of us were basically human.”

“I can understand the confusion,” said Molsalkisa, turning her attention to the twins, “dream spirits can pass through world barriers that most other entities. It’s possible your mother was impregnated by a dream spirit.”

“Our mother told us she had us as a result of a one-night stand back at a party someone threw in her late twenties,” said Trisha.

“I’m unfamiliar with that term,” said Molsalkisa with confusion.

“It’s a term used to describe a brief sexual encounter with no intention of going further in a relationship,” said Marsha. “She even confirmed the guy she slept with that one time was the father. Where we grew up, medical staff have access to equipment that can tell you how closely you are related to someone based on blood samples provided.”

“It took her a few weeks to track him down after she found out she was pregnant,” said Trisha. “When she took him with her to check if he really was the one that impregnated her, it was confirmed to be him. Knowing something like that is important, some families have hereditary conditions.”

“The way you described things,” said Marsha, “it would appear as what we refer to as an ‘immaculate conception,’ a pregnancy that happens with no real sign of a father.”

“Sometimes dream spirits can manifest a physical form,” said Ulnarka, “it’s more of a surprise. It’s possible the dream spirit used the form of that man and then implanted the memory of impregnating your mother into that person.”

“It wouldn’t be the first time such things have happened,” said Molsalkisa, “their sense of ethics and morals tends to be a bit looser than most intelligent races. And they aren’t above manipulating others into taking the fall for their follies.”

“Maybe you should show us to those rooms now,” said Jonah, fully with the intention of redirecting things, especially since he and the twins had been given far more to chew on than they probably should have in their current situation.
