Dinner!

“Come get your burgers!” Bobby calls, stepping in to the living room. Julian, Frank, and Maria quickly hustle out, followed soon by Heather, Naomi, Hannah, Susie, and Ella.

The eight of them, plus Bobby and Billy, sit around the deck table while Connor continues to flip more burgers.

“How are they?” Connor asks.

“Delicious!” Billy responds, eliciting a chorus of agreement.

Bobby who has one arm around Hannah, gives Billy a small nudge. “Check it.” He whispers, nodding to Ella who is leaning on Julian’s shoulder. “Told ya.”

Billy nods. “So you did.”
