Aasimar can live in the Material plane or on the Plain of the God you are born from. Though you are as mortal as any other creature your existence as a Gods protector and messenger naturally gives you a Holy leg up in that department. The Key is that not all Aasimar are the same and they are definitely not mindless drones for their gods will, they make mistakes, they have emotions, wants and drives independent from their deity.

Now lets sort out your Ability's. You get to pick two of your core 6 stats (STR, DEX, CON, INT, WIS, & CHA) and add +1 to their current bonus.{ To a Maximum of +5 per stat } You also gain a Celestial Resistance to Narcotic and Radiant damage. { Resistance: If you ever take Narcotic or Radiant damage you half the damage dealt }

As well as that you also get a load of Angelic Power! to use. I Trust that you right down these ability by the way, they are useful don't forget it. You firstly get an Angelic Healing ability allowing you too as a bonus action touch an ally and heal them a number of D4's equal to your proficiency bonus (+2) once you use this ability you cannot use it again till you long rest.

You also gain the devine ability of Darkvision. witch is exactly what it says on the tin.
